Why not? They let Apple make a "U2 edition iPod"... it's not like they abhor corporate involvement, regardless of Bono's personal politics...

Metallica...
While not as main stream their music would fit a rollercoaster ride and they are still making albums. Though, I can't think of a song that would work, they are probably a little too hardcore.

I don't think Metallica would be well-received by the majority of Disney fans in that capacity...

I totally agree. U2 (the best ever) would never be involved in a roller coaster or any kind of theme park attraction.

Again, why are you fans so sure? They lent their name to an Apple product... why not a Disney one?

I think for the right price.. any band would lend their name to the Disney Co. But I do agree, U2 would probably be doing something different than the Rollercoaster... Maybe if Epcot did Ireland.....

LOL I would SO get the 'DisneyPod' What would be great if it already came with Disney Movies and songs from the movies. maybe even from the theme parks as well

I just hope that they wouldn't stick one of the teen bands from Disney Channel. High School Musical might be big, but it doesn't warrant a roller coaster song.

With that said, my vote is for U2, but I also thought about Foo Fighters, even though there not quite a universal band, some of their songs would be a good roller coaster soundtrack. And then I thought of a humorous one: Barenaked Ladies. Think about it. Riding the coaster with One Week playing behind your head.

You know I was just watching Wayne's World 2, and since Aerosmith was in it, I thought of RNR. RNR is going into to REHAB. I can't believe I didn't think of it earlier.

Waynes' World 2 came out years ago. Why would they use Aerosmith even though they were in a flop?

We keep talking about replacing the band. What about the rest of the ride? Anything anyone would like to see fixed? I don't think I'd change anything. Maybe add a few more things for the black light as you whip around. Maybe some car lights or street lights or something to add the effect that your rushing down the highway to the concert.

I'd like to see it a little darker in there, I don't like seeing the structure. Just the track and the scenary. Makes it harder to tell which way is up.
