Rockin Roller Coaster featuring.......

Post by Croaker » Oct Mon 02, 2006 11:40 pm

so...how long do you think they will keep Aerosmith? now don't get me wrong...i have liked Aerosmith since i was 5!! and they have stood the test of time...and various drugs..but thats another topic. do you think they will keep Aerosmith or do you think they will switch them out? the ride is set up to switch...(with the "featuring" in the title.) so lets play "who would you like to see take over the featuring? my personal favorite would be Burt Bacharach! "Raindrops keep falling on my head..." lalalalalalala

ok maybe thats too hardcore for that ride...or perhaps it would make a good theme song for Tower of Terror....

so since it is Rockin...Rollercoaster...i'll put my vote in for Metallica. laugh could you hear their fans now screaming "Sell outs".

Hopefully Aerosmith will be there for a while... They've been around a while but they are STILL going strong today. (And they're from Sunapee NH!) But If it had to be a newer band..... I hope they would pick an edgy band, and not go for the bubblegum boy bands. You know.. it would be nice if the band played their own music.

I just could not see another band taking it over for a while. Aerosmith does what very few bands can do.....bridge the gap of several generations. Plus I can't imagine anyother music blaring in my ears that would come close to what Areosmith does to the ride. They may want to have them back to update the beginning though. :D

It's Rock n Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith, btw. I've always seen the band as part of the attraction. To have another band would definitely change the mood and tone of it. Not to mention, the music in that area that people always sing(and try to dance) to. I like it the way it is now.

Oh, and "Welcome Home."

I would really HATE to see some new trendy band that has only been around for a few years. When Disney does that it sucks when those bands go out of date. Aerosmith has lasted quite a while and that's why it works.

I can think of only one band whose songs rock pretty well (not quite "rockin" like the boys from Boston), they bridge the gap of generations, they're famous, not going anywhere, etc... and honestly, even though I like Aerosmith way, way better, this could be kind of cool...

Guessed yet?

And you think people will be like "who are they?" regarding U2 faster than Aerosmith? At least U2 has had a hit single in the last five years... don't get me wrong, I love Aerosmith... but you couldn't totally hear "Vertigo" playing while on the roller coaster?

Plus, the boys in U2 have to be, what, 10-15 years younger than the guys in Aerosmith? They'll stick around longer.

haha perhaps more appropriate, agreed...

Anyway, on the topic of the thread, I personally can't think of any band that could replace Aerosmith other than U2... perhaps no band could, maybe that's the point, I don't know...

ok this forum can go on no longer with out me talking about the greatest band of all time, ok besides maybe the beatles.. U2!!!

I guess you can tell I am a U2 freak.. and not seeing U2 sell out for any ride like Aerosmith did. Not I think its a bad thing to have your band be part of a ride, its just not U2's style.

Oh and if they had to be part of a ride I think it would be It's a small world, Bono could rewrite it and add a bit about forgiving the 3rd world debt or AIDS.. yeah that would be cheery! 8)

Back to the subject... seems by picking Aerosmith that they picked a pretty timeless band that has spanned a couple of generations, and fits the theme of the ride. So I think Aerosmith will be there quite a while. Just as long as they don't make it a Raven or Hillary Duff ride...ooooof
