Usually when Disney goes up on prices Universal and six flags are not that far behind. What are most of the hotel rates now for like, Contemporary Resort, Polynesian Resort , Wilderness Lodge, ect...

Did the prices go up? They didn't seem to change when I've been looking to book my trip.

Also, do the prices remain the same throughout, at least, the season? Or do they fluxuate like air fair?

They seem to stay the same price for awhile, back in the 90's the prices stayed the same or have very little increase for a long time, thats if memory servers me correct.

I just want to know do the Disney fans justify the price increase? If they do how? I'm not trying to start a fight, but how is $71 a person get justified? I hear a lot of talk about gas prices, maintenance for the park, etc but then people say maintainence isn't being done.

If people can't afford the gas than why raise the prices? Wouldn't a drop in price bring more people out because they will be saving on admission?

Blackie, the maintenance has gone down badly, My mother and brother were just down there in May, They said it was no where as clean and maintained as it was in the mid 90's

I'm not saying I don't agree with you csquare77. I was just there last weekend. What I'm saying is because it isn't getting done, how can people justify the increase? I'm a huge Disney fan, I even buy the season passes. But I think the rising prices is getting ridiculous. It's certainly not being put into the maintainence.

I just keep hearing people saying it's ok to rise the prices, because it's Disney. That is not justifying it to me.

They have to stop at some point, what happens when it nears 100 a day, people just cant spend that type of money.

Maybe they are trying to be like Jurassic Park lawyers thinking the park is so special they can charge thousands of dollars per ticket. Of course, this would be when John Hammond (he thought like Walt Disney) steps in and says, "No, no, this is supposed to be a place for everybody to visit."

That's hilarious subsonic! I've been saying the exact same thing! Eventually it will only be a place for the rich, where the only way you can get there is by helicopter. Disney will become this exotic place that people dream about and only the select few have ever experianced it. But maybe, if you climb to the tallest hill, you might be able to just see over the large fence they'll put around it, and make out the castle in the distance and think.. if only...

Ouchies...I guess it was a long time ago when ticket prices were around $45-50 a day to get in and 5 day passes could be obtained for around $200-250. Then again, when they were that price, I was asking my mom and dad for quarters to go into the arcade and scolded by them for wasting the entire day in there as well.

Disney has always had to be considered a bit pricey, but it really was only for the "rich" to say on the Disney property before they built the Value Resorts!

But why do we say it's ok? I mean, Disney himself wanted all families to be able to come and spend time and enjoy the parks. Does anyone really think Walt designed his parks to be a once in a life time experience and just for the rich? I don't buy it.

I'm about to begin a Rant here. If I offend, I apologize beforehand.....

There are so many people Demanding "Fair Wages", yet these people are the first to balk at raising prices to accomodate these Fair Wages.

Disney Co. Is a business. Plain and simple. Would you want them telling you how to run your business? It costs MONEY to run the Disney Property. They have to give employee raises (cost of living increases, # of years on the job, etc.) and there are a LOT of employees there, and they have to pay for the rising costs of upkeep, maintenance, water consumption, electricity, lawers, insurance, TAXES, etc. Where do you think the money comes from?

Disney is STILL a good deal... especially if you visit the parks more than once or twice during your stay, with the Price per ticket dropping in amount for each day you visit a park.

There are still ways to get cheaper Disney prices. Such as moving closer to the property and getting a FL or annual pass. ALSO the Value resorts are very fairly priced, as is staying off property.
