Disney Theme Parks featured in NON-Disney Movies
I just saw this 1996 movie that was on "Encore" last night, Called "Marvin's Room", at one point in the movie the characters went to disney world, and they actually had footage of the actors IN WALT DISNEY WORLD. The showed splash mountain, the Dumbo ride, the Castle and the skyway! (before it closed). I was unaware that Disney would even allow this. I was wondering... are there other movies that Disney allowed the filming of inside of their parks?
"Hey, Look at that guy in the Goofy Mask!" "That's not a mask!" "Oh... Sorry Lady!"

I'm not sure of the movies, but I know that a few TV shows were filmed there. I remember at least 2 of them were ABC shows that were done as/just after Disney bought ABC. I think 1 may have been before...

those were 2 I was talking about. Also, Sabrina the Teenage Witch did an episode at Animal Kingdom just after it opened in 1998.csquare77 wrote:Full House and Family matters did Disney episodes.

The season premiere for the third season of Seaquest DSV was shot at various sites around Disney, including the Living Seas. It was quite amusing to watch, as this was their first time working with live dolphins rather than animatronics. I quote "The dolphin missed his cue."

I jump everytime a Disney theme park is mentioned in a movie or tvshow. The WDW Full House is one of the only ones i remember. Americas Funniest Home Videos often has Disney Parks in them or mentions them. Yesterday i was with friends watching "That Thing You Do" and i just about fell out my seat when they showed a character on the Matterhorn with Mickey Mouse.I want to go on the Matterhorn with Mickey Mouse!....now that i think about it the matterhorn wasn't there in 1959! Was it?
Yes, this is my happy place! Well, when not in my happy place.

that movie is set in 1964, just after the Beatles became popular (one interviewer/photographer asks why they don;t have long hair like the beatles). Also, towards the beginning of the movie there's a banner congratulating the class of 1964 (at the talent show).Halvogirl wrote:I jump everytime a Disney theme park is mentioned in a movie or tvshow. The movie was on HBO not too long ago and I watched it a few times it was on. I forgot about that scene being in DLR...
