I always get white cake with raspberry filling and chocolate icing! Best kind of cake in the world!
Unless I get a tiramisu cake for my birthday!

Aww, thanks! Thanks to you too knedeau. I had a most fabulous birthday and the messages from you made it that much more exciting. I got to spend much of the day at the Great Minnesota Get-Together, aka the Great Minnesota Pig Out, better known as our marvelous State Fair!

Thanks Steve!

knedeau, our State Fair is famous for things on a stick. So I ate mac & cheese on a stick, a poncho dog, reuben on a stick, and mini donuts (those don't really work on a stick). I was so full! Happy, but stuffed to the extreme.

Back to the point of this thread. Do mini donuts count as birthday cake?!

A belated happy birthday! Hope it was great!

For birthdays at our place I either make my famous sour cream chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting, or we get a cake from a local bakery called "souffle cake." It has sponge cake layers filled with raspberry whipped cream filling and whipped cream frosting. Very yummy!

:) Tomorrow (the 14th), I will start my day with a run in the morning to invigorate the senses, and then a BIG coffee from starbucks on the way to work... and maybe even make ICE CREAM tomorrow night! I think for a birthday celebration, I will make hubby take me BALLROOM DANCING (WITHOUT COMPLAINING) on Friday! YES YES YES! :mickey: :mickey: :mickey:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KNEDEAU! This is the closest color I could find to match the pretty pink Mickey ears in your picture. Many happy returns of the day! :mickey3:
