The funny thing is over at MGM they start putting up the christmas lights on New York in the begining of October. I alway's go down and see the lights setup and never on this year I will finally see them in all their brilliance.

It'll be good to actually see the lights and all the christmas decor for once in person. I've seen countless videos online of the stuff. I even have "The Magic of Disney at Christmas on both DVD and VHS. But, I'm sure there's nothing like seeing the stuff up close and personal.

I was in WDW about 3 weeks before Christmas in 2000. It was wonderful! The decorations are amazing. Plus each counry in Epcot has a little story that they tell about Christmas in their country. I actually want to go back in December (maybe next year). When we were there in 2000 my nephew was only 4 so there was so many things we were not able to visit. Yet, another reason to go back

Congrats knedeau, I'm sure you're going to love it. I've heard of a lot of things that are special for Christmas, that I didn't know about the last time I was there for Christmas. Apparantly a lot of the resorts do really cool things for the holidays. There was a thing on the Travel Channel about Christmas at Disney where they showed a bunch of the stuff they do. At the GF they have a huge Gingerbread House, like 10 ft tall!!!!! I'm going to have to go resort hopping next time I'm there during the holidays. You're staying at the Poly right? Have you checked to see if they're doing anything special for the holidays?
Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.

I'll have to post some pics of a giant gigerbread house we made where I worked in GA - Sea Island resort. I'll also see if I can find the list of what we used so you can see how much goes into something like that...

Both Halloween and Christmas are great. My dh gets fed up with all the Xmas music in December but I love it. MNSCHP is a great party with a fun parade and great fireworks.

That would be really cool if you could do that. I'm sure by the look of the one at the GF they're not exactly a quick project. I did a GIS and looked at pictures, it's ginormous.

I'm posting the pics to my LiveJournal, as there's 17 of them and I don;t want to put them all up here (taking up alot of space and slowing things down for those on dial-up. I'll do an edit here with the link as soon as I'm done.

Edit - here's the link: http://js3901.livejournal.com/. It'll probably be the second post from the top. Read through the post before looking at the pics, because I have a little game for you.

js3901,
I've always wondered, what do you guys do with the house after your done. I'm guessing you don't eat it, which is a darn shame. Mmmmmm, gingerbread house. BTW I counted 20 black dots, but i'm guessing that's not the answer, it'd be too easy.

Christmas is outstanding everywhere at WDW. The resorts all have special decorations, the parks all have special decorations, some of the attractions are tailored to the holidays, MVMCP is a blast with special shows and Holiday Wishes, the CP is awesome at Epcot, Osborne Lights at the Studios are amazing.

Gotta be Christmas. Valentines Day is nice also but I think I'm saying that because it's cooler and not as crowded.
