approaching Gibson Girls on a hot day and smelling the cones cooking and knowing you will have excellent icecream really soon--well soon is relative to the line length. :?

Wow this is a GREAT topic! The best WDW smell is when the doors to the monorail open and you get out at the CONTEMPORARY! The Contemporary, as well as the Polynesian, have some kind of a musty 70's smell that takes me right back to being a little girl again! It's amazing what a smell can do to take you back to great memories.
...And it rained, and rained, and rained. The Deluge...

Yeah, they smelled like that last time we were down there (July). I don't ever remember them smelling like taht before though. And some of the monorails have been getting the interiors changed so maybe that has something to do with it :? [/quote]

The bakery on Main Street is a good one. Rome burning on SSE is a distinct smell, though I don't know I would call it a favorite is certainly is a smell I associate with the park.

Personally, one of my favorites is the smell of popcorn on Main Street. You can air pop your popcorn at home all you want but it never smells or tastes the same as it does on Main Street.

I recently bought a lotion that smells just like the scent that you smell when you come off of Maelstrom and enter the shops. There is a perfume shop in there and I guess that smell is just a lot of the perfume scents in the air. I love it. I'm wondering now if its just me.. or does anyone else know what I'm talking about?

I love the smell of Splash Mountain's water...well actually it's probably just the smell of all the water since all of it smells like Splash Mountain's water.

Sulfur in the water is by far #1 (ok maybe not)

Phillharmagic, i could watch that one with my eyes closed.

Soarin.....see phillharmagic.

anywhere in the Magic Kingdom except next to that guy making his own smells on pirates. (see bostoncg's post on page 1)

now if it were sound i would have to say Epcot World Showcase...but that would be derailing the thread.

I love the smell of the jungle curise area, the falling of rome, and I always liked the desert farms in horizons. The caverns of POC have that damp smell which is kinda cool too. Mexico has a great smell.

The chili dog breath from Stitch!

The skunk smell from Journey into Imagination with Figment!

Both were gross, but like sampling the Beverly Cola, they are memories that I'll never forget. And (believe it or not), thinking about them brings back really fond memories (not the smells, but the fun that our family had).

I can't believe I didn't see this thread sooner! Definitely for my husband and I, the Polynesian lobby!!! I wish I could bottle that scent and take it home with me. It's a tropical smell and takes me back to when I was 3 and went to Disney for the first time. Everytime we walk through the lobby there, I take in a huge deep breath! Thinking about it now makes me smile! :D
