Beverly is a Coke product in Italy that tastes like Sambuca liqueur, which is an apperitive, but it's non-alcoholic:

Sambuca
Sambuca is an anise-flavored liqueur, produced by the infusion of witch elder bush and licorice, sweetened with sugar and enhanced with a secret combination of herbs and spices.

Beverly is made with the same witch elder bush and licorice extract as Sambuca.

I've never tried Sambuca, but it sounds kind of like Jagermeister. Is that kind of like it, b/c that stuff is horrible.
Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.

They are in the same family of liqueurs, Beverly is just the non-alcoholic, carbonated version of Sambuca.

Beverly is a drink from Italy. it's supposed to be used between courses of meals (I forget the true name) in order to "Cleanse the pallete" it's not supposed to taste great, merely clear your mouth/tongue of any taste so you can really appreciate the taste of the next course.

I love Sambuca and hate Beverly so I guess it really is an acquired taste... :D

Beverly's a really nasty tasting soda from Italy that they serve in Club Cool. I've never had it but it's supposed to taste really bad.

It's a "pallete(sp?) cleaner". It's supposed to taste dreadully awful! I'll find out in October. Right after I get my poor wife(who is not in the know) try it first!

Beverly is an Italian cola that has probably the worst taste know to man. Try it at your own risk and if you have any friends with you when you try it encourage them to try it first. I was the first to try it at EPCOT and talked my brother into trying it telling him it was the best thing I had ever tasted. To watch him hold it in his mouth without spitting it across Club Cool was PRICELESS!!

I did this to a friend of ours who is known for her practical jokes. I know she'll get me back one day.

Yeah, some of the drinks at club cool are disgusting! They had something like that at the Giant coke bottle in Las Vegas.

Ah, the Beverly challenge...college program interns never get tired of making other people drink it for the first time or daring each other to take a huge gulp if they already know what it tastes like. I'll admit that even though I know full well what I'm getting into, I have a taste every time I stop by and then promptly chase it with my favorite--VegitaBeta from Japan. Yummm.

But back to the original topic at hand--the flavor packets are a great call. I usually just buy a pack of water bottles and bring that in, but the flavor could help when you run out of the purified water and are forced to turn to what comes out of the fountain.
