How do you rate Disney's water parks?

Post by Jacca5660 » Jul Tue 18, 2006 8:05 pm

How do you rate Disney's water parks against others you have been to?
I feel they are OK, But even Orlando has a better one. If you have ever been to Ohio, you understand how good they can get!

Well, here in Austin, we are 45 minutes away from New Braunfels, TX where Schlitterbaun is located. It's been rated the #1 waterpark in America by the travel channel, so it's kind of hard to compare.
Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.

I think they are two of the best. They are both unique. If you have a big lazy river you are awesome in my book.

There's now three of them, since they added the Galveston Location. I haven't been to the Galveston and Padre ones, but the two parks that make up the New Braunfels location are pretty awesome. It's always rediculously packed though.

They don't have the best or the most slides, but the atmosphere at Typhoon Lagoon is really excellent. I'm not so much of a fan of the Blizzard Beach theming...a lot of reflective concrete kinda sucks for a water park.

Pretty good slides there, though.

I have been to waterparks all over the United States and my personal opinion is nothing beats the theming and overall attractions of Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.

I have to agree with AKLRULZ.....It is the total experience that makes TL & BB so exceptional.....especially sitting there on the sand at TL with an ice cold adult beverage.

We don't have the extensive parks up here dur to the weather. They are afterthoughts to the existing parks.

I think the argument is related to the quality of all disney rides. There are many better "thrill" rides than in the Disney parks, Its the atmosphere and magic that sets the attraction apart.

I think typhoon lagoon's ambiance is first rate in my book. Mabye the slides are not the bext, but the music and theming are great!

"San Dimas High Football Rules!" is from the movie Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. It's the first thing I thought of when I saw "San Dimas" in an earlier post. that, and "Strange things are afoot at the Circle K, Dude"
"And please do not sit on the floor. My studies show you can't experience time travel on the floor. and it's not a pretty picture in those shorts" - The Timekeeper

yeah I had to look up San Dimas, CA on Google Maps because I had always been so sure they'd just made up the name of the place for Bill & Ted's. But whattayaknow, there it is.
