Disneyland's 100th Anniversary

Post by broncoflyer8912 » Jul Tue 18, 2006 5:18 pm

I was thinking about the 50th anniversary earlier today and how awesome it is. So when year 2055 rolls around, what do you think Disney is going to have in store for the century mark for the Happiest Place on Earth?

They had a 100th celebration for Walts birthday. I'll be 95 in 2055!! I might make it.

Hopefully in 2055 I won't be too rickety to ride all the great coasters and thrill rides...

That was "100 years of Magic", I'm specifically talking about the 100th Anniversary of Disneyland being open. I'm wondering what kind of plans Disney would have in store for this big celebration, fricken awesome fireworks shows and maybe some really really cool new rides!

Well agreed, but hopefully they won't have gotten rid of Space Mountain, the Matterhorn, Big Thunder, and other rides that a 75-year-old just might want to reconsider riding is all ...

I just fear that Disney thinks thrill is everything and to remember that Hauted Mansion and POTC aren't a thrill right but constantly have high guest counts.

They better not get rid of the current mountains.

Maybe they'll be able to unfreeze Walt and have him help them plan the celebration. He can change all the things they've done wrong in his absense.
Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.

Wow! That's alot to think about. I just hope I will still be in working order and able to attend. I'm sure it will be the biggest bash Disney has ever thrown topping the 50th. They always like to try and out do themselves. And by then the possibilities will be endless. It would sure be a cool thing to see. Does anyone know if they are going to be doing any kind of theme once the 50th ends in a couple months?

Man I will be in my late 70's if I make it, HA. I think I will only look forward to the 50th's in every park. But I do hope I can make it to the 100th celebrations.
