I would love to see the Peoplemover make a return to Disneyland. I'll admit, I'm a nostalgia freak for the PM, so a return would make me do a backflip.

Honestly, any movement on that track would be great. I honestly doubt they aren't going to do anything with the track, as they surely have to realize the potential of using it. I don't want them to tear the track down either, as I think it is an important "berm" to Tommorowland. Even without something up there, it does look futuristic!

Does the disneyland peoplemover have the same vehicle and track design as the WDW one?
Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.

Well, as the physical makeup of Disneyland's Tomorrowland and Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland are different, the track is different. The vehicles were always WEDways, and back when the ride existed, it started from a central tower, where the Rocketships were, and it did go through Space Mountain and a couple other buildings throughout tomorrowland, like Star Tours. There was a TRON scene as well. They were similar rides.

Back before they put in the Rocket Rods the tracks were fairly similiar. The major difference bring MK was on an electomagnetic system where the cars actually floated above the track. The DLR peoplemover cars were on tires. BOTH systems used wheels in the track to propel the Peoplemover cars forward.

But for Rocket Rods they built a steel frame track on top of the Peoplemover track. They could probably figure out a way to use that track. But I wish the old Peoplemover was back.

I'm yet another one that wants the Peoplemover back once again - but then again a lot of you here already know that so I won't bore you with the usual rant :D

Someone should start an online petition. I'll sign it.

Indeed, it is time for the petition to begin. I too will sign. Though I can't even remember the old peoplemover, I want to see it return to it's full glory. I adore the TTA and this looked even better. So now all we need is someone to organize us all.
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

If we can get it started, I will try to get it on other sites. We'll need the numbers!!

Ok, I'll take a stab at it. I'll get a sample mission statement up here in a day to get some input and get it signed up. After that start spreading the word on all the other forums out there and let's see what we can do! Numbers will be the big thing here...

Ok - step one is underway [mission statement] and step two is started, I'm building a website. I have some experiance with Frontpage, nothing extra special but enough to get a decent looking site together. But I need you, yes that is right you! I need quality photos of the Peoplemover in action! Both from the ground and from the ride itself.

Questions? Just PM me and I'm on it...

What's the link to the petition? Thanks for the work!

You can use google images for peoplemover shots.

The website is up! It is more of a placeholder for the moment, hope to work on it more this week and weekend to get a better look but it is started!

Petition is done, going to sleep on it and make sure everything looks right and put it online tomorrow. Watch for the link!

Thanks for the great image Sub - that is a wonderful 3D rendering of the Peoplemover car. A ton better than most images found over on Google, etc. :D
