Any possibilites for a New PeopleMover? - Petition!

Post by Just Believe » Jul Fri 07, 2006 4:54 pm

A few friends of mine and myself were talking during lunch and some how the PeopleMover came into the conversation. We then talked about possiblities for, maybe the soon new PeopleMover. But then we talked about how much it would cost to redo the track for a new PeopleMover and if attendence will even be high enough for it? Please comment and share your thoughts. :)
Do you think have enough time to go the bathroom before the next show?

They ought to do SOMETHING with the track, but they likely won't. Quite frankly I think they should just bring back the PeopleMover as essentially the same ride as it was, with updated audio reflecting all the changes Tomorrowland has gone through.

I sure hope I am proved wrong in time, but I don't see that happening...

This is my families most missed attraction. Would love to see it return. But dont know if they want to spend the time and money to get it up and running again. We have dropped many comment cards about this on our trips to D-land.

They may be in a bit of a catch-22... it would cost a lot to refurbish/relaunch the ride... but imagine how much it would cost (in labor and guest issues) to actually tear down the track? In the meantime, we're left with what is likely the least desirable option... an empty PeopleMover track with no PeopleMovers.

Does anyone remember some rumor that (during Space Mountain's construction) that Space would begin at the PeopleMover station and make its way into Space Mountain's main show building? I always thought that was really cool idea.

They can but it just isn't the same. There was talk about bringing them back after the 50th but I think it was just rumor. Although they can surprise use by doing it, most fans talk about how they miss it so they do know that it is missed.

My wife and I love the Wedway People Mover at the Magic Kingdom. We ride it multiple times as its a nice relaxing journey and going through space mountain is really fun.

Its now really called the TTA though :(

One of the people I work with Is good friends with someone in the Property Tax department at DLR, but I don't know how she could pass an idea on to imagineers.
Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.
