I'm just wondering what influences your choices?

My choice is some of the above - I'd say it's 50% because I'm planning a trip and want to get into the mood, 40% memories and 9% that I heard the music here and wanted to hear it again. (ok, and 1% for earworms - can I help it that I like Tiki Room, IASW, and Haunted Mansion???)

Mostly memories for me. Although, not necessarily a memory I have of the actual time/place... like Walt's dedication for Disneyland... but the memories of the place in general that hearing those words conjures up for me.

I went with all of the above. My reasons vary, but memories of family trips and planning/waiting for the next trip are big reasons.

I choose All of the Above too!
Planning my trip now, but love the memories, etc. too!

The first two really, but mostly because of the memories. I try not to do the ear worm thing, but I can't help requesting the songs I like.
"A pirate in irons be full o' guile.
And the blackest 'art wears the broadest smile."
Oh, and "Welcome Home."

For me, it is all about the memories!

I took some because it's all except the "earworm" thing for me. I usually don't request catchy type songs....well I take that back I do request Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow a lot and sometimes Grim Grinning Ghosts

Mostly memories for me, but there are some things that I've heard on Subsonic that I've never heard at the parks, but like to request anyway. One example of that is "Soarin." I haven't been on the ride yet, but love the music.

I have to agree that those Soarin' tracks have a great classic Disney feel. The sort of music that says "You're not going to have this experience anywhere else.".

I love how so much of the Theme Park Music does all of these things;
1. Brings back so many memories
2. Is inspirational (gets my choreography wheels turning)
3. Fills me with pure joy (I can PHYSICALLY feel it in my chest... as a chick it makes me want to do the girly thing and jump up and down and clap for joy!)
