WDW tickets valid at DL?
Read recently that WDW tickets are actually valid at DL - has anyone actually tried this and if so does it work? I had never heard this before and am curious if anyone else out there has heard or tried this. If so that would be be a great!

I doubt it would work. You know I always thought that it would be smart on Disney's part to create and Ultimate AP so you can get into both parks. The price could be almost the same as buying them individually but you get the benefit of only needing one card. Just a thought. Then I don't have to remember which one expires when.

Actually, WDW and DL are two completely different entities. Nothing is really similar at all between the two complexes when you are talking about booking or reservations and they have their own reservations departments.
Unfortunately, you can't use WDW tickets at DL or vice versa. You can't use WDW APs at DL or use them to receive discounts while there.

Well a quick call to the good folks at DL ticketing brings the answer - they do indeed take WDW tickets! They said it was no problem, they didn't even hesitate - not sure how common a question it is but they certainly knew what they were talking about. With them being so seperate I was surprised but what a deal - with the no-expiration park hopper tickets at WDW so much cheaper it is a really good deal. So there you go

I'm not sure how long they have been doing this, and it really does seem that some DL CMs say one thing and some say another, but MYW tickets can be converted to one day one park passes at DL. When you convert them you lose the park hopping priviledge but this is even iffy and determined by who the CM is that actually does the conversion. I hate when they don't all have the same answer for protocol! LOL
This is the only park that will make the conversion and it's only one direction....from WDW to DL and not the other way.

Wow, I think that is actually great news - now if they'd just come out with an all park Disney annual pass that permitted visitation at DLR and WDW.

I don't know about WDW and DL, but I do know that you can use old, unused tickets today. I used one of the old tickets (the one that was blue and had Goofy on it) and was able to exchange it for a new ticket. The catch, though, was that I could only go into Disneyland Park.

I was able to do the same thing this year in WDW. In April my wife and I used the remaining day off our park hopper tickets from 2000. I was worried that they would have gone bad, but we were able to use the no problem. I was suprised no one said anything, i was expecting at least to get a dirty look from them being 6 years old.ttztotdca50 wrote:I don't know about WDW and DL, but I do know that you can use old, unused tickets today. Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.
