So much fun ~ I think you'd really like it! And about a year ago I'd have fought a little bit for the frozen Coke. Any kind of pop just tastes like chemicals to me now, and the only thing I can think of that would explain it is post-covid taste changes. Probably one of the better long haul things to have as pop isn't particularly good for me anyhow

-1 Cosmic Rays ~ nothing against him, and it used to be one of our favorite spots to grab a quick bite of mediocre food, that free fixin's bar made up for the not so wonderful food. But it got way too popular and we could never find a spot to sit, you had to have food to have a table, forget sitting in with Ray. And it was hard for me to juggle the tray, help Mom navigate with her scooter, and it was just way to stressful all around. And the food was still nowhere near as tasty as it should have been for the price.

Yeah, the toppings bars were where it's at. We only ate at Peco's Bills once, but the toppings bar was awesome!

-1 Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue (Wilderness Lodge) - recently watched a video reviewing this and it looks ok, but the price! Yikes! I miss the Diamond Horseshoe were the show was free. A PB&J never tasted as good. This was when they still made them by hand, rather than out of a package. I never got potato chips with a sandwich at home, so lunch there was a treat! The first thing we used to do when getting into MK was go find out what times the shows were. Not sure if you needed a reservation or not, but it was not a counter service place in those days.

Yes! Peco's Bills toppings bar was amazing too. I hope they still have these post-covid ~ assuming I'll ever be able to afford to go back!
We went to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue once. It was enjoyable, the food wasn't that great, but the show was worth the price at that time, maybe $25-30 dollars? I just looked and there is no way I would go for $70+ unless the food got a whole lot better, and I doubt it has.

And yes, we loved the Diamond Horseshoe review. Sometimes we'd get something to eat, other times we would just get something to drink. No ressies required in the days we went. Later years we went the joint was packed so you had to get there fairly early to get a good seat. I always wanted to sit in one of those little round spaces by the stage but I don't think we ever scored one of those tables.

We usually opted for sitting in the balcony. My dad had more hair then than he does now, but it was starting to get a little iffy that he might get picked on by, was it Diamond Lil? He wasn't interested in wiping off lipstick.

Yeah, I think maybe Diamond Lil. Stairs were a bit tricky for Mom with her arthritis so I think we only ever sat up there once. It was fun to have a bird's eye view!
