Well I wouldn't pay the $6000 for the experience of eating this stuff, but if somehow I was on the Starcruiser and these were dinner choices I'd try the veggie options. Finishing them may be a different question though :)

+1 Flora Vegetables, Kaadu Creme sauce, salad, Green Herbed Fluffy Rice
-1 The Bento, Batuu Spice, salad n/a here, Stewed Shrimp

Dinner Night 1
3 The Bento Experience. These are pan-seared steamed dumplings with various fillings inside.
8 Bantha Beef option. This is filled with Braised Teriyaki Beef.
6 Flora Vegetables option. It is filled with potatoes and curry.
7 Tip Yip Chicken option and was filled with Sweet-and-Sour shredded chicken.

Sauces
9 Kaadu Cream (described on the menu as being sweet and creamy)
3 Melahnese Curry (described as a yogurt dip)
3 Batuu Spice (described on the menu as a spicy aromatic condiment)
7 Barbecue-style sauce (a Gochujang-laced sauce)

11 Flora Noodle Salad. This is a chilled salad featuring yellow beets, diakon, onion, carrots, and white miso vinaigrette.

Chandrilla Chef’s Selections.
5 Bantha Beef Tenderloin is a Tamarind-glazed beef with crushed moon-rock potatoes.
6 Tip Yip Chicken is Menkooro Bourbon-glazed chicken with red peppers and sesame seeds.
1 Stewed Shrimp is made with lemon grass, lobster cream, and coconut-lime foam.
6 Surabat Spiced Flora, which is vegetables with Harissa spice.
8 Green Herbed Fluffy Rice features a puffed rice crisp on top.

How about you horizons1? Are there foods on here you would look forward to trying? I would maybe try a few of these, but I wouldn't want to pay whatever inflated Disney price would be. Assuming, of course, that these foods were even available in the park and not on the Galactic Star something or another.

+1 Bantha beef, bbq sauce, skip the salad, Bantha Beef Tenderloin
-1 tip yip, batuu spice. still no salad unless it's got some iceberg lettuce in it and one of those lonely cherry tomatoes, hold the weird carrot strips, , and surabat spiced flora

Dinner Night 1
11 Bantha Beef option. This is filled with Braised Teriyaki Beef.
6 Flora Vegetables option. It is filled with potatoes and curry.
7 Tip Yip Chicken option and was filled with Sweet-and-Sour shredded chicken.

I have to say, this menu ordering isn't working out like I thought it might. The limited Earthly recognizable foods probably not helping. I just thought today, there are a few veggie options, but no fish.

+1 Tippy Yippy Chicky, BBQ sauce, no salad (tried it, didn't like it), more Tippy Yippy Chicky (although, there is only so much chicky one can consume in one meal)
-1 veggies, batuu spice ~ time to go batuu the ship, kaadu cream, salad (push), surabat

Dinner Night 1
11 Bantha Beef option. This is filled with Braised Teriyaki Beef.
4 Flora Vegetables option. It is filled with potatoes and curry.
8 Tip Yip Chicken option and was filled with Sweet-and-Sour shredded chicken.

Sauces
10 Kaadu Cream (described on the menu as being sweet and creamy)
11 Barbecue-style sauce (a Gochujang-laced sauce)

+12 Flora Noodle Salad. This is a chilled salad featuring yellow beets, diakon, onion, carrots, and white miso vinaigrette.

Chandrilla Chef’s Selections.
6 Bantha Beef Tenderloin is a Tamarind-glazed beef with crushed moon-rock potatoes.
9 Tip Yip Chicken is Menkooro Bourbon-glazed chicken with red peppers and sesame seeds.

You are right, the menu is very light on fish. Night 2 has one fish item. Maybe we need to go through these menus faster or stop altogether. Nobody seems to be having fun with this list. Doesn't bode well for the future of the Galactic Starcruiser concept if we can't even find a fantasy meal we all would enjoy!

+1 Beef, BBQ, Salad, Rice
-1 Flora, Kaadu, Surabat

Dinner Night 1
12 Bantha Beef option. This is filled with Braised Teriyaki Beef.
3 Flora Vegetables option. It is filled with potatoes and curry.
8 Tip Yip Chicken option and was filled with Sweet-and-Sour shredded chicken.

Doesn't bode well for the future of the Galactic Starcruiser concept if we can't even find a fantasy meal we all would enjoy!
I'm for scrapping it.

And guess what?! Remember I said I had a piano family where everyone except the Mom is super crazy over Star Wars? Like the Dad knows everything, his office is all Star Wars, the kids, 7, 6, and 4 loooove Star Wars because their Dad has taught them this way? And I said they would be a family who would love to go on the Galactic Starcruiser but I didn't think they could afford to go?

They're going in November! Mom is excited because the 6 year old is very small for his age but he is tall enough to go on everything. And she said the youngest might be tall enough by the time they go. She mentioned a set of grandparents going too, not sure if they are her folks or his, or both?

I'm sure I'll be hearing little bits and pieces from now until November though. In the meantime I'm going to ask the Mom if I heard her correctly and they will stay there or if they were just talking about the parks. I don't think so though. I think I'll tell her to pack plenty of granola bars, though maybe the kids will be more adventurous if it is Star Wars related!

I had to tell someone, no one else would get it!!

Haha, share stuff like that any time. I like to be someone who gets something :) I hope they have a great time! From what I've seen of it, throwing yourself into the Star Wars world is important, but if they already love that world, that should be fairly easy. If I was the grandparents, and not into Star Wars, I might suggest they go off to do the Starcruiser and leave me in a regular hotel for some down days without them (assuming they're going for more than just that). If there was food I wanted to try maybe they could smuggle it out to me on Batuu day :)

haha, yeah, I'm definitely one who wouldn't really get it. As much fun as my brother and his family had when we went on Rise of the Resistance, they would probably enjoy it quite a lot. And they would go if their kids were little, or most def with grandkids.
Now if they had a behind the scenes kinda thing, watching people put on their character makeup, seeing the costumes, well, pretty much how the backstage tour was that we had taken, but a couple of days instead of 8 hours or so, now that I would love to do!

It was a long time ago now, probably somewhere in the 1990's to the early 2000's? And sadly the memories are a bit fuzzy. I want to say it encompassed all four parks. Most memorable of EPCOT being the American Adventure portion. We got to see something that normally no one would ever see. They were working on a couple of the animatronics and we could see how and where the different scenes would come up. The entire platform moved back and forth, toward and away from the theater. I want to say they were working on the Ben Franklin scene, so we were able to see the whole AA and see what couldn't be seen during shows. I think the women's voting scene was up close as well.
I know we got to see the EPCOT evening world showcase barges. We saw parade floats up close. We saw the costume sewing as well as costume pick up/drop off so we got to see lots of people half in/out of either character or face roles. We saw a couple of girls putting on makeup and the wigs that were arranged for their character on wig heads. I remember I asked one of them if Disney provided the makeup and she said yes, but it was poor quality so most of the face actors brought their own.
We went in the Utilidors and saw the cast breakroom, walked the those going down one place and popping up in another in a very short time compared to what it would have been in the parks. We ate somewhere. I know at least one tour we ate at the Liberty Tree Tavern and the food was ok, but glad it was included in the price of the tour.
We also got to stand in a certain place in the ballroom scene at the Haunted Mansion and see the doom buggies passing through and just how the dancers illusion worked. I believe they purposely skipped loading several doom buggies and we were allowed to look up close at the dining room table. We also stood in a certain space, out of the guests' vision, at Soarin' and see the mechanics of the ride. That was very cool!
MGM we also got to walk down residential street, which guests also used to get to do when the Osborne Lights (RIP ) were still along there. Much different to see it in the daylight hours.
I don't remember anything about Animal Kingdom until later years so I want to say that park hadn't been built yet.
I'm sure there are more, but those are the highlights that I remember at the moment. We rode around on a 12-15 pass. bus. Received a book with one of the tours. Pins with later tours were a bit of a disappointment for the price of the tour.
Later years we did the Future World tour in EPCOT and were disappointed that we really didn't see or learn anything new. And a couple of the things we were told by our tour guide were straight up wrong.
I think we took the big tour twice, and a couple more tours that focused on each park, I took a Segway tour at EPCOT, and a Train Tour at MK. One of my favorites was taking the tour at Animal Kingdom. We got to go out over the alligators and hear more in depth about the animals and care. We had a snack/bento lunch out in the savannah and had delicious POG juice.
Tours back then were anywhere from $35 on up. Most of the 7-8 hour day tours were $75 give or take. And I know we paid about $200 for that big one where we so much behind the scenes. Totally worth it, especially seeing the American Adventure sets so up close!

Sorry, I was on a business trip last week and didn't have time.

Amy, those early tours sound amazing. If you went behind Soarin' then it must've been 2005 or later.

OK, let's scrap the Galactic menus. Looking at the multi-course Captain's Table dinner - it's all the same weird stuff. Except maybe try breakfast? This one looks like it'd be easy to knock out quickly.

I had an idea for another theme I can't remember if I mentioned. We've been playing this for years. What if we did a "bake off" of the top results from past games? Maybe go back to the beginning and just pick the highest scoring item from each of the first 10 games and make a list out of that. Even if they're unrelated it could be fun.

Meanwhile, here's Breakfast in Space:

5 Compressed Fruit Plate. The fruit bites were vacuum sealed with simple syrup to give them a little more sweetness,
5 Pastry Board
5 Palmfruit Yogurt Acai Sweet Creamfreeze, which is topped with quinoa granola and yuzu jelly.
5 Green Pearberry Toast (avocado toast)
5 Star Wars waffles
5 eggs and sausage
5 Rolled Omelets
5 Kale Porridge, which is served with “Sausage” Gravy (which is actually mushroom gravy) and “Egg” Worms.
5 Whipped Eggs, which are topped with a Spiced Batuu White-Sauce.
5 Crispy Tuber Waffle
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

I agree Amy, those tours sound awesome! The first time I went on Soarin' I was most excited for a look at the mechanics, and taking a picture of it. I'd heard the story of how the concept was made out of erector set and it's such a slick idea!

And now for breakfast! (best of the best sounds like a good idea to me)

+1 Star Wars waffles
-1 Kale Porridge
5 Compressed Fruit Plate. The fruit bites were vacuum sealed with simple syrup to give them a little more sweetness,
5 Pastry Board
5 Palmfruit Yogurt Acai Sweet Creamfreeze, which is topped with quinoa granola and yuzu jelly.
5 Green Pearberry Toast (avocado toast)
6 Star Wars waffles
5 eggs and sausage
5 Rolled Omelets
4 Kale Porridge, which is served with “Sausage” Gravy (which is actually mushroom gravy) and “Egg” Worms.
5 Whipped Eggs, which are topped with a Spiced Batuu White-Sauce.
5 Crispy Tuber Waffle
