It sounds like alot of their ideas are being rehashed. The Dumbo ride has a couple similar rides in Aladdin and the ride at Animal Kingdom. It sounds like they are going to make a ride at MGM that is like Buzz Lightyear. I just read somewhere on the forums where they may make a ride at the Magic Kingdom along the lines of Expedition Everest.
They have a ton of creative people there at Disney so I don't understand other than those rides are popular why they rehash the rides.
Saying all that I do like the idea of the Laugh Floor.

I have to say I have always thought that the Tomorrowland Speedway (or whatever name it's known as or has been known as) is the biggest waste of space in the park. It's go-karts with a track. You can find that at any amusement park in the U.S. in some variation or another, and go-karts just about anywhere where people may even think of going for recreation. It eats up so much land that could be much better used and it seems to regularly brings up lawsuits of whiplash (That I don't think have ever won but that doesn't mean there've never been settlements) from people ramming each other. I'm sure that there are other negatives that I've thought of previously I just can't think of now, but whatever. I'm sure there are positives to it people see but the only one that I see is it keeps a bunch of people in a slow moving line on an attraction I have never had any interest in, even as a kid, so those people will not be standing in front of me someplace else in the park. I don't get it, hey kids let's pay all this money to go to the Magic Kingdom so we can take you to ride go-karts! But not just any go-karts kids! These ones are on a track so you don't really drive you just step on the gas! But they're not really less dangerous because people can still crash into you, in fact they're guided right into your rear if you stop! And we could've just stopped on the highway outside of Disney to go to any one of the 9000 go-kart tracks in the Kissimmee/Orlando area but why do that when we can pay more to wait in a long, slow moving line that has little to no protection from the hot humid Florida climate!? YAAAAAY.GoofyInOhio wrote:It's funny that you mention that. I was thinking they could get rid of the Indy Cars at the Indy Speedway and put in Cars from the movie Cars.Mr.ToadWildRider wrote:Stitch, Buzz, and now Monsters...the TTA will soon change to feature Cars characters instead of stylish WEDWay cars to travel around Tomorrowland, including a trip through Incredibles Mountain (formerly Space Mountain)
This may not be a great idea, but I just don't care for the Indy Cars (Maybe NASCAR). Still love watching kids drive them though. It's always a thrill for that first time driver.
Sorry, that's one of the attractions I always have to vent about. I understand it's "Classic" but let's be honest, for the area this attraction takes up you don't think something amazing could've been built such as that Villain Mountain? Grrrrr darn you Raceway, I curse your very existence!

Great idea about moving it to Epcot at the WOL pavilion. And I totally agree about Timekeeper being true to Walt's style.G2-4T wrote:I gotta say that this time they've really lost their minds. What in the world does this have to do with Tomorrowland? It seems to me they need filler, found movies work, and are running from there. I like the idea, hate the placement. Timekeeper was a terrific ride/show. It was very much true-to-Walt style...
I don't think they needed to get rid of Timekeeper - js is right. Just keep working on it a little every so often to keep it modern and you're set. If only they could move it over to Epcot where Wonders of Life is - it is very Epcot-ish. Sigh...
The idea itself of this new attraction isn't so bad, but it does not fit into Tomorrowland. An ideal fit at Disney Studios, but not here.
