I'm not sure on the fp+ either, Belle1082. That's my next step to figure out, too. Just a few days too until we can book Fast Passes! Any suggestions? I haven't been since the FP+ has been in full swing!
I have only ......... days/months till I go again.

I haven't been since the new system has been in place either, but I think you'll find it relatively easy to work with once you start Captainnobeard. It sounds like everyone really likes it and it works fairly well.Captainnobeard wrote:I'm not sure on the fp+ either, Belle1082. That's my next step to figure out, too. Most of my family's fast passes have been selected! Still working on the Anna and Elsa character meet, but I"m sure that is crazy hard to get into. I should have known to wait until until midnight for that one! We will see once we are in the park how long the waits are!

I wonder how the stand-by times are now that they have the FP for them. I would guess if you go early enough, it shouldn't be too bad.Belle1082 wrote:Most of my family's fast passes have been selected! I'm hoping so. We will try to plan for a couple early mornings at MK, so we could get in first thing to meet them. My niece will be thrilled.
Anyone know how easy it is to get more fast passes the same day? As soon as you use up one, are you usually able to snag another?

I think you still have to wait until all 3 are used which is why I tried to book as many as possible before noon for my trip and skipped grabbing reserved seating for fireworks (hoping there will still be a room for Illuminations to add it as the 4th pass).Belle1082 wrote:I'm hoping so. Re: I have only ......... days/months till I go again.
In January 2015, my dad and I made it to rope drop ceremony before early EMH...by the time we got to Fantasyland (about 10 minutes after rope drop--we stopped for LOTS of pictures), the posted stand-by wait time for Anna and Elsa was already 60 minutes...I asked the cast member if there was a lesser wait time throughout the day, and if so when was it. She just shook her head and said not really...but sometimes it dropped to about 45 mins during the Parade.Amy wrote:I wonder how the stand-by times are now that they have the FP for them. Oh, that is higher than I would have expected. Maybe if they walked directly there it would be closer to the 45 minute wait time. In the grand scheme of things, that wouldn't be so bad if your child really wanted to see Anna and Elsa.JenMuse wrote:In January 2015, my dad and I made it to rope drop ceremony before early EMH...by the time we got to Fantasyland (about 10 minutes after rope drop--we stopped for LOTS of pictures), the posted stand-by wait time for Anna and Elsa was already 60 minutes...I asked the cast member if there was a lesser wait time throughout the day, and if so when was it. Dang - that is crazy! I wonder if I messed things up by doing our Be Our Guest breakfast reservation for 8:50am on a 9am opening. I Should have made it for a little later so we could have been in the park earlier! Oh well, we'll see what we can come up with.
That is crazy! Maybe we will just have to make it to rope drop and book it to fantasyland! I can get somewhere pretty fast if I need to.

I kinda wanna see the inside of the queue area, so if I can get there immediately after on my trip, I might hop in line to see it and observe the queue behaviors, ya know, in the name of "professional research."
Anna and Elsa photos are pretty big deal for some of my clients so relating a personal experience can be helpful when advising them.

Will you only be at the MK for one day during your trip? If you have another day, then you can fully enjoy your BoG breakfast and head for the Anna and Elsa meet and greet on the other morning.Belle1082 wrote:Dang - that is crazy! That's pretty neat that you have to do some of the experiences so you can understand them fully and help out clients. Rough job but someone's got to do itJenMuse wrote:I kinda wanna see the inside of the queue area, so if I can get there immediately after on my trip, I might hop in line to see it and observe the queue behaviors, ya know, in the name of "professional research."

Oh, we will be at the MK more than any other park with so many little ones in our group.
I'm hoping maybe if we get there early on Monday morning of our trip, then we can book it to Arendelle.

Re: I have only ......... days/months till I go again.
So DW and I decided to do a SUPER QUICK trip to WDW for our 5th anniversary. We honeymooned there back in 2010...so we saw it only fitting that we go back for our 5th anniversary.
We'll be leaving the kids at home (3 yrs old and 10 months old) and we'll be on Disney property for just over 48 hours.
9/3:
Fly from ATL to MCO on the first flight out...arriving around 8:30 AM
Take DME to our resort (OKW)...hoping to be there by 10:00 AM
Check-in and then take a boat to Disney Springs (DTD)
Buy an ornament for the trip and maybe walk through the World of Disney
Lunch at Raglan Road at 11:30
Take a boat to Port Orleans Riverside (where we honeymooned)
Try to find a small painting of the resort in the gift shop (we saw this at AKL on our last trip...and want to buy one at every resort we've ever stayed at)
If we're wanting something sweet we can walk to POFQ and get some beignets.
Take a bus to DAK
Walk to the entrance...then to Rainforest Cafe and see if we can check out the Pandora construction.
Take a bus to AKL.
Do the same thing as POR...try to find the little painting there (stayed at Kidani in 2014).
Take a bus to Epcot.
Take the Monorail to TTC.
Switch over to the resort Monorail and make our way to the Contemporary.
Maybe get off at MK to take a picture at the entrance...we won't be going to MK on this trip...crazy I know.
Try to find the little painting there of either the Contemporary or BLT (from our 2011 trip).
Take the Monorail to the Poly.
If Trader Sam's is open...go in and have a drink. Stay there for as long as we want...we'll either eat here or go upstairs and have sushi outside of Kona Cafe.
If we're not dead tired...we'll try watching Wishes from the Poly...but I have a feeling we'll be tired and will head back to OKW for some sleep.
9/4:
Wake up bright and early and either have breakfast in our room (bars) or go to Good Foods To Go and grab a breakfast sandwich.
Take the bus to Epcot to be there for rope drop.
First ride...Soarin...with hopefully little to not wait since we'll be the first group there.
If the crowds aren't too bad...we'll get right back in line for Soarin.
Go back to the entrance and ride SSE...then to TT to use our FP+ reservation.
Then trek back over to the Land and ride Living with the Land.
Next is Nemo and then we leave Future World for a little while.
I've never seen Impressions de France...so we're finally going to do that.
Lunch at Via Napoli is next...been looking forward to that since our last trip.
After that we have the afternoon wide open to tour WS.
I've never seen O Canada or Reflections of China...so we'll do those.
We'll also make sure we watch The American Adventure.
We'll eventually make our way over to Mexico to ride Gran Fiesta.
Next up is "dinner" at La Cava...which is the trio dip and jalapeno margaritas.
Once we're done we can go out and grab a beer and a good spot to watch Illuminations.
After that we'll go back to the Land to ride Soarin and Living with the Land and SSE right before leaving Epcot (thank you EMH)
Go back to OKW and sleep.
9/5:
Get up and get packed up.
Take the bus to MK.
Take the resort Monorail to the Poly.
Breakfast at Kona Cafe at 9:00 AM.
Leave the Poly and if we have time, take the Monorail to Epcot, then take the bus to OKW.
If we don't have time, we'll take a boat to MK and then a bus to OKW.
Check out of our resort and wait on DME to pick us up.
Head back to MCO and then to ATL.
Watch Alabama beat the tar out of Wisconsin.
That's a lot of stuff packed into 3 days...but I think we can do it. The only park we won't be going to is DHS. MK and DAK will just be quick stops at the entrances. I never in my life thought I would buy a single day park ticket, but that's what we are doing. We figured if we were only going to WDW for one day without kids...it has to be Epcot. We were able to book the $49 flights from ATL to MCO from Southwest...so that's saving a ton. Renting DVC is saving a ton of course...and only doing one park saves a lot. We'll make up for it on food and drinks, but that's what you do when you go on an adult trip to WDW. We do plan on taking the kids in December of 2016 if we are able to...and that will be a long trip to make sure we do and see as much as we can for their first trip.
