When your phone autocorrects what you are typing to Disney characters and places - even when you aren't typing about Disney characters or places :mickey:

You know you're a WDW nut when....friends ask you to help them plan and after a 2 1/2 hour session they leave with a scared look on their faces as you holler, "Wait, I didn't cover table service dining."

That's awesome and completely true

Someone told me today that their husband has a work trip and they aren't all that excited to go to Orlando. When I asked if they would be going to the parks at all, she said probably not as they won't have their kids with them. But they are staying on property! (not sure which resort, just that it's the new one) and taking a Behind the scenes tour!! (don't know which one) AHHHHH! How could they not be excited?! Oh yeah, I guess I'm the WDW nut, not them

Not excited about a behind the scenes tour? Wow. Is the tour part of his work trip or something they're doing on their own.
Can't wait to take my twin boys on their first trip to Walt Disney World! Planning on heading there sometime Feb-May 2014!

They always have some sort of excursion so all the work people and their wives can do something together so I think the tour is just something they picked to do. They normally go to somewhere really warm like Mexico, or Aruba so Orlando is a different destination choice for them. Evidently Aruba was out of the question due to the storms last year destroying part of the resort. It is sort of an interesting situation as the family I teach, he is a sort of tiny fish in a conglomerate of corporations, so it's always fun to hear what sort of things they do, because they are really down to earth sort of people with 9 children and the people they travel with are super wealthy jet setters. I would never fit in at all, but I sure would like to go on this all expenses paid trip to WDW! I'm hoping the Mom will change her mind and do a little bit in the parks as I'm sure they will have tickets available to them and she might have fun checking some of the things out. She could always take her ipad and skype with the kids back home so they could see some of the parks

Crikey! I love traveling with my family, but when I'm "forced" to travel alone, I take full advantage and do exactly what I want to do, and not one thing more! This mom needs to set aside her guilt about being in a great place her kids would love and just do something for herself. Why do moms do that? Stop doing things for themselves, I mean. My girls get on me about doing things I like to do. Maybe it's because they're 20 and 16 now, and are beginning to appreciate how much raising them has cost!  So yeah, she should at least go to one of the parks, just walk around and enjoy. Go on a ride here and there. :)

I don't even think she feels guilty about it, she just doesn't have any interest :( I've got a couple of weeks to work on convincing her.

(sure this is a repeat but...) ... you get more excited about your friends' WDW trips than they do.

You have to fix a note in a piece of music so it sounds right ~ I have a student playing a simplified version of Be Our Guest and there was just a clunker in there that I couldn't stand!

 Oh that would drive me crazy. I rearranged part of a Colors of the Wind arrangement as a kid because it was different from how the song goes in the movie.
