Beautiful shot Avorenn! For not having a DSLR, that is still a pretty shot!
Very nice!

Ooo, that looks so warm and inviting!

Re: Disney In The Dark - Photo Tribute to Disney Magic at Ni
Just discovered this thread and I've only gone through a few pages (59 pgs may take a while! lol). Here's 3 of my favorite pics I took on my last trip to WDW. I took them with my cellphone.

The photo of the sunset at the Polynesian looks like it could be on a calendar. Great shot.
Makes me wish that I had an umbrella drink as I write this.

I have a separate thread going on right now for my current trip to Hong Kong Disneyland but there are a number of night pics that should also be added to this catalog. See the original thread for the full trip report: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=9657
For you camera nuts, these are all taken with my Samsung Galaxy S3 so they're not as good as with a dedicated camera. However, there is an HDR mode that "combines multiple pictures taken at different exposures to create the best picture" that seems to work better than setting the mode to "night" or "low light". Not bad for a software-driven optimization. Plus, it seems to work by capturing a single image and then applying processing after the fact, so while there is a delay in between pics for the HDR to do its thing you don't have to hold the camera steady the whole time. I will label each just for the photographers among us.

Looking at these all side by side I can tell now what each setting is doing. Low light is bumping up the ISO value so that is why the pics are grainy and washed out. Night mode seems to leave ISO on auto but possibly add a slight delay to the shutter speed. HDR appears to be Night mode with additional processing, probably from comparing detail after applying various ISO settings.

No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

What can be more magical than the clock striking midnight and still being in the Magic Kingdom
