That is just mind-blowing that a movie attraction would have them at all since (unless you time it just right) you are going to still be standing in a lobby waiting for the doors to open.

At the same time, from what I understand, It's Tough to be a Bug can have a considerable wait at AK but never has a wait at DCA.

When it's busy, you may need to wait two or three shows before you actually get in. It fastpass can make some sense, but only for really busy days.

The longest I've waited for Philharmagic was two shows (in Tokyo a couple of months ago). When I arrived, the pre-show room was already full, and there was a somewhat long queue in the room before. The amusing thing is that Tokyo hasn't got Fastpass for Philharmagic :P

Anyway, we're somewhat off topic now. Philharmagic FastPass != Tiki Room refurb :P

It is interesting that a lot of Adventureland will be behind scrim/refurb over the next several months. Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, and Pirates are all experiencing refurbs within the next few months

I'll bet my nickel on either improving the mermaids or taking them out.

Didn't I see that a FIFTH Pirates movie is being done? (Does anyone else hear the Rocky theme song right now?) If so, maybe they're going to add some of that stuff before the movie, to increase the hype. I know I'll be waiting to see the fifth Pirates movie at home. Come to think of it, I haven't seen the fourth.

So am I to assume then that we complain when Disney don't do maintenance on the attractions, and that we also complain when they do?

Just because the attraction is closing doesn't mean there's going to be major changes. They are allowed to do maintenance to keep them running you know ;)

Yes Cy, we will put more mermaids in the ride just like you requested and remove the old stuff to replace it with more movie tie-ins.

Well Pirates will only be closed for 4 days starting on the 27th so it's not that long.

My wishlist for the Tiki Room Refurbishment:

1. Add the fountain in the show. I cannot imagine this one costing much at all. The time it takes to install it and reprogram the show would be less than a week

2. Move the Dole Whips to the Sunshine Tree Terrace. They already have the machines. The Dole Whip line is already so incredibly long all the time, they could probably keep both stations serving Dole Whips.

3. This is the most important one, allow Dole Whips in the Show. You want more income from an attraction, encourage spending along with it. Worried about messes, try using bigger cups with the Whips.

I try to avoid staying in places that are too humid. Though Florida's allowance of murder does appeal to me...:D
