I have collected guidemaps for every park, and more, from my trips in 2002 and 2004. Still have them, in my Disney drawer, big surprise.

I dont think they were free, but I still have some of the see-through plastic ponchos that say WDW on them from the late 80's.

I like the merchandise bags... I guess you have to buy something to get one, but I always come home with several and whenever I re-use them, I think of Disney! I also like the park maps.

When I went to WDW for the millenium celebration, santa left a christmas stocking filled with goodies (candy, etc.) hanging on the doors of each of their hotel rooms. This was a great unexpected surprise!

They have all new bags for the 50th Celebration, one side looks like Mickey's pants. All new napkins too, with the newest looking Mickey, like he is striding along. I brought home a ton of napkins and a couple of shopping bags.

Park pass, room key, Magic Hours wrist band, bags, and park maps.
(Well, you have to buy something to get some of these, but you don't have to pay extra. So I guess that makes them free.)

I still have some of my maps and passes from the mid '90s. I must have been 9 or 10 when I started.

1st of all, welcome betamkii - you'll love these boards! On the inside of a bathroom linen closet, I tickey-tacked our room key, magic hours wristband, MVMCP pass, MNSHP pass, postcard from each resort, etc. from each of our trips. Every time I go into that closet, I see mementos from each of our trips. The 1st being in 1997 for the 25th Anniversary of WDW!

I would have to say it's a PIN! My sister and I were in WDW (stayed at the contemporary) in sept '05, and one of the busdrivers gave me a a TRADING PIN! It was so unexpected! But very sweet!

I say it's not at WDW but from DLR at the day of the 50th celebrations. The cup cakes were sooooooooooooo gooooooooooood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got one took a picture and then I scarfed it down. I went back for seconds and thirds........and then I almost had a Protein spill.

DVC members get little surprises all the time. On the Member Cruise last September we got presents every day and night. What a wonderful treat. We did not expect that at all. I would say my favorite is a signed sketch drawn for me on the ship by Disney Artist Don "Ducky" Williams. He was so gracious and watching him do a character sketch was just amazing!

Seems like DVC member cruises are the way to go for superior treatment. I'd like to take one some day.

We got some Mickey shampoo which is still in one of the bathrooms my Auntie Zee uses when she comes to visit.

She'll be here in May and owes me a trip with her.

I save just about everything from my Disney trips, and everything is a favorite, including the coasters, guide maps (in English and other languages), soaps, laundry bags, shopping bags, stickers, shampoo, plus:

Plastic Mickey Mouse-shaped twisty drinking straws that used to come with kids' beverages (do they still use them?)

The Sassagoula "newspaper" that comes in all the rooms at PO Riverside

My Fav free souvenier is by far maps. This applys to all parks for me. I collect lots from every park I go to each year. I like to look at older ones and see how the parks change over the years.
