Hi everyone,
I find that the services for guests with disabilities in wdw are great.
They have maps and guides for the Blind and partialy sighted and I use them at every visit to wdw. Whats you opinion about this?

Re: Services for the blind
I really like that WDW is very considerate of those needing special assistance at the parks. I have used the closed captioning a few times in shows. I actually have very sensitive hearing and use ear plugs in many of the shows because of the extreme sound levels, but I also process some things much better while reading them. I've never used a cc reader as I wouldn't want to take one away from someone who needed all the time, but there are a few shows it is possible to see the captions without a reader.Nanaserew wrote:Hi everyone,

I can only imagine how overwhelming the parks could be to someone who is partially sighted or completely blind. All of your other senses must be on hyper-drive!

Well, the hearing is surely better, and the smelling of different areas is overwhelming.
I also love the audio guides. You can get them at every park and everthing you see is described if you are near an atraction.

Re: Services for the blind
Hi, I am also blind an i am happy to see you using the guides and the maps.
I've been using these services for a long time.
I also like the audio guides, because i speak german and the park staff can give you special guides for that. For example, i was on the jungle cruise and the audio guide translated everything that the skipper said into german.
