Glad you made it safely! Not quite a park view, but a pretty impressive city skyline

.........I'm still counting in months because the days are sooo depressing! Seems like forever, but the built up anticipation is soothed with listening to SubSonic or watching my YouTube WDW playlists.

Really? Looking at the album on Facebook (my phone sends the same photos to both Facebook and Twitter), there's 177 photos from the last two days. Each had its own tweet, which is on my twitter (or is the caption of the image on Facebook), and there's been several tweets/status updates without photos, too.Amy wrote:I looked again but I'm not seeing anything overtly Disney ~ what am I missing? Either go to https://twitter.com/acp and keep letting it load older tweets until you get to the ones from Tuesday, or you can see just the photos and captions on my CameraPlus page (which is the app I'm using, if anyone's interested): http://campl.us/user/acp (If you scroll far enoguh, you'll end up at my last WDW trip on that...)
They /are/ there

DisneySea again, but for a full day tomorrow.

packing is such a stressful/exciting thing when it is for a WDW tripLen90 wrote:Plane will be landing in Florida in about 24 hours!!!! Packing is in full swing.
it's stressful because you want to make sure you have enough...but not too much
exciting because you know what you are packing for...and it's fun thinking about using/wearing the stuff you are packing while down at WDW
packing up to return home, however, is not fun at all

Agreed on the packing to come home. I think that is the most stressful because you are trying to fit all your original stuff plus the souvenirs, park maps, and tiny little soaps in the same sized suitcasetheBIGyowski wrote:packing is such a stressful/exciting thing when it is for a WDW tripLen90 wrote:Plane will be landing in Florida in about 24 hours!!!! Haha Amy you don't know the empty suitcase trick. Always have an extra suitcase for souvenirs, park maps, and freebies.Amy wrote:Agreed on the packing to come home. Plane departs in less than 11 hours. All packed except for my carry on. I always end up doing this.

You must fly on the airline that has free checked bags. We have to pay $25/bag each way so it is already $100 just taking clothes and toiletries that can't be in our carry-ons. We always make it fit, but it is tricky since I usually end up buying one of the cool Disney themed board games ~ those take up a lot of space

Re: I have only ......... days/months till I go again.
I wonder how that $100 compares to packing a plastic tote (like Rubbermaid or some other similar brand) with things you don't need at home but want there, and then shipping it to yourself at the hotel, and shipping it back home. I know it would be expensive but I have a feeling it's much less than $100. And a lot less of a hassle to deal with, too, going to/from the airport.Amy wrote:You must fly on the airline that has free checked bags. We fly Southwest as often as possible. Their airfares aren't always the rock-bottom lowest, but for trips of 5 days or more, being able to just check a bag and be done with it (they allow up to two bags, included in airfare) helps avoid that sticker shock.
I should compare sometime, flying Delta or United and paying $50 per person to check a bag, vs. the airfare on Southwest. I wonder how it would come out.

Re: I have only ......... days/months till I go again.
yeah...from my hometown Southwest is always the cheapest flight because we have direct flights to and from MCO
Most of our Delta flights have to go through Atlanta first...which tacks on more cost
DW's grandfather used to work for Delta...so we could probably go through him to get free standby passes...but there is always a risk that the flight you want won't have free seats...especially to MCO...and we would have to drive to Atlanta and fly out of there. So the cost savings really aren't enough to justify for us...at least not while we can fly Southwest for $250 total for both of us round-trip.

Re: I have only ......... days/months till I go again.
I don't think that would work for us...we mostly pack toiletries and clothes, and neither of us has a ton of extra clothes. Knowing me, I am also probably still wearing shorts in December when we normally travelcy1229 wrote:I wonder how that $100 compares to packing a plastic tote (like Rubbermaid or some other similar brand) with things you don't need at home but want there, and then shipping it to yourself at the hotel, and shipping it back home. Southwest isn't really an option unless we drive to Indy...it is going to be bad enough driving to Chicago for our upcoming trip to DL. Not going to complain though ~ free tickets from my brother to go visit DL and my other brother and family in Cali = thank you big brother and no complaints!
