How fun ~ a last minute hop to WDW! No kids either?
It looks like y'all managed to fit in quite a lot in your short time there. Thanks for the lovely photos

Love the pictures! Oh...how great it must be to be able to plan a last minute trip to WDW!
DW, DS, and I are headed down to Destin, FL for a week at the beach sometime in late August. DW's parents usually go down there for 2 weeks every year...one week for them alone and one for us. DW and I briefly contemplated driving to WDW for 2-3 days while letting DS stay with the grandparents in Destin. The only thing keeping us from doing that is the $600+ we would have to pay in park tickets. The rest of the trip is relatively cheap...but the park tickets are crazy expensive for just 2-3 days.

I love these pics.
But where is that where the bridge is open? Somewhere in World Showcase?

Yes it is between "The Outpost" and China. It was around 4pm, and they were bringing in the barges for Illuminations. I've never seen this before, I kinda wondered if anyone else got caught by the bridge before!
Thanks for loving my pics! We had such a nice time!

Love the pics, especially the castle with the rose garden angle and the Haunted Mansion from a distance. Did you do anything special at the Polynesian or just stop in for the pics?

We went to the Poly for an early early breakfast and just hopped on the Monorail to MK! It was quick and easy and we were only at the park until about noon. When we got back to the Poly, we got a Dole Whip to-go and got in our car and headed south. While there though I managed to take pictures of my favorite resort!
I can't think of anything better than Mickey Waffles, a few hours at MK followed by a Dole Whip... what a nice day!

We have seen the bridge up just once or twice when we've been at EPCOT. It was fun to see as it is rare to have the bridge open...well, if anything that happens every day, a couple times a day can be considered rare

I managed to catch them doing that when I was last over there. I seem to recall they had a spiel that played while they were doing it explaining what it was. Good place to go if you want
to get a good
close-up look at
the barges

Well my Son could have gone but he decided to stay home, study for SAT's, and watch the house and doggies! He is 17 and will be a Senior in the fall! (I plan on crying his whole Senior year... I'm such a sap and he is my baby!) He is doing great in school a 3.98GPA and just took the SAT's on Saturday. His eye and face are getting better from the injury, and even though no Baseball or contact sports ever again he is doing great!
I'm thinking about another quick trip this weekend for Mother's Day..... I'm working on it!

Outstanding photos! Any special camera, or just typical point and shoot digital?

Glad to hear Travis is healing well from his injuries! Another trip for Mother's Day? Cool!
