These all look like fines, not actual shutdown orders.

Man, so much butt-hurt over the display windows, I never fully understood why the author gets so bent out of shape that a store would want to feature items that are for sale in their window?

Wow ~ that was a jam packed update this time around. Love the various artwork pieces that were added to the parks. I sure hope they don't have Alice in Wonderland closed when we get out there. That is such a cute attraction

Are you going during a tourist month or the off season?

Re: Dateline Disneyland
I would guess it is sort of a shoulder season ~ we should be getting in on December 1st, so I'm thinking most everything should be up and running...hopefully.Wizzard419 wrote:Are you going during a tourist month or the off season?
Re: Dateline Disneyland
Don't they have a full list somewhere for all the refurbs for the year? I know the official calendar has them for the next few months, but I seem to remember a short-form list somewhere on the interwebs.

Everything will be up and running since holiday time starts in November. It will still be somewhat empty though, so that is a plus.

That would be good ~ I'll have to hunt around a bit and see what I can findGeoffS wrote:Don't they have a full list somewhere for all the refurbs for the year? I know the official calendar has them for the next few months, but I seem to remember a short-form list somewhere on the interwebs.

At least BTMRR will be done before your trip!

Re: Dateline Disneyland
Hooray! The list I found doesn't show any closures for refurbishment past October when BTMRR reopens. It also looks like they managed to get Soarin' and Space Mountain back open today. And it also looks like they are working the Matterhorn during the weekdays and opening for the weekend. Not sure how that works, but it definitely is good news for guests visiting on the weekend!elizabethswann wrote:At least BTMRR will be done before your trip!

Matterhorn was open today, but the reason they don't put out an official list is because plans change and it would be another document to keep track of.

Plus, if there is no "official list" people can't complain quite as much...maybe?Wizzard419 wrote:Matterhorn was open today, but the reason they don't put out an official list is because plans change and it would be another document to keep track of.
Re: Dateline Disneyland
Well, their website calendar lists refurb *scheduled* maintenance, but that wouldn't include emergent situations. They generally have the "rides closed" board posted out near the ticket kiosks, which is their official notification for those coming to the park that day.

So people can see if the attractions are closed before purchasing their tickets?GeoffS wrote:Well, their website calendar lists refurb *scheduled* maintenance, but that wouldn't include emergent situations.
