I've heard that some of the places will make you a Kungaloosh if you ask for it and the bartenders remember it from the Adventurer's Club.

If you are lucky. Most of the bartenders I've asked in the years since AC closed if they know it, either don't know it or were not working when it AC was open so it wasn't taught to them. Either way, aside from the alcoholic beverages, the ingredients should be less $$ than buying a Kungaloosh at Disney.
We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

I am actually surprised they don't have it in the system as a secret menu item, at an increased price. It can be quite profitable (if it uses nothing unique for it) to have.

Hmm, this makes me wonder, apparently in ToT there is an absinthe service set up in the lobby, I wonder if any establishments on property serve it? Kind of a niche thing, so they might not, but the French Pavilion may have it since they serve hard stuff.

I should ask my nephew-in-law as I know enjoys absinthe every now and then. I think it is pretty expensive though so I wonder if they would sell very much of it even if they did offer it?

It can be, some of the bottles I have can go for like $150 a bottle, but good quality can start easily in the $30/bottle range. Since it is higher octane, the shelf-life is more of less indefinite, like most spirits. If it were a liqueur (lower content) it would only have a 6 month life from opening.

If their bars are above tourist trap they would at least have a bottle of pernod on hand since there are a large number of cocktails that use absinthe or other herbescents in them. At the same time, the customers may be more fans of sweeter drinks.

I thought absinthe was taboo? Or was that something different?

Only if you're a Mormon/Islam follower or live in pre 2007 US :D

In the US, the ban was lifted in 07 because they realized that it wasn't a psychotropic beverage.

Any of the margaritas in Mexico are great. Also the Sake in Japan is very tasty. Love the Orange Sake. Tastes like a Creamsicle. :D :goofy:

If you're my coworker Ryan, that's your request for a gift when I return next from France.

I wouldn't lump Baptists in that group... My hometown is 90% Baptist and those are some drunk people on Friday night.
