Re: Dateline Disneyland
I keep meaning to check it out but never do, my guess is that it is enhanced with ambient light and wind effects like they did with other previews.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
I've always wondered how the President's Day festivities went. Interesting, but maybe not enough to fight the crowds.

I always wonder how well various souviner food containers sell at DLR? They don't seem like something one would really want to keep.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
Interesting to see some of the projects already wrapping up. Not sure I am a huge fan of the new Fantasy Faire being so vibrant on top of Main Street.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
Considering how old and stale Carnation Gardens was and how it didn't really mesh (there were no connections to the area since it was flanked by 2 different lands), it couldn't be any worse.

Latest update from Micechat: Dapper Dans sing boy bands as Fantasy Faire begins previews at Disneyland, etc.
Those poor Dapper Dans. As much as I love Nsync and Backstreet Boys, they shouldn't have to sing those songs.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
So if the props they are showing are replicas, and it's in a storefront, are they for sale? That seems silly to make replicas of movie props.
Re: Dateline Disneyland
I've frequently noted awesome stuff in the windows that aren't for sale. You'd figure they'd want to make money from their manufacture, so after the display period is done, set the price at whatever and see if it sells.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
You can find most of that stuff in the same place they do, eBay.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
Ha! True enough, but I guess the store window puts the shine on it!

Re: Dateline Disneyland
I am surprised they didn't think of that issue of having an open roof in regards to sound... I guess they could just say "go ahead and hug that lady" and treat it like a special kind of club where names are not mentioned.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
I am surprised, too. Most hotels have air walls to split large rooms into smaller segments, and sound pass-through is minimal at best. It usually takes some LOUD A/V to rumble in the next space.
