Not at all M-dude. I understand why people would want a cohesive decor, I'm just not all that fussy

Especially when it comes to Disney things!

My mother always wants everything to match.

Me, I'm like, who cares, if I like it, I'll make it work!
Likewise M-dude! I have no problem whatsoever with cohesive decor, and I envy those who can be so put together to maintain it.
My problem is, I like too many ideas/decor options/things in general to ever have matchy-matchy things. If I like it, it finds a home...no matter what. Plus then everything then has a story and/or special meaning to me, and that makes me comfortable.
That's how the hubby is. His favorite website is ThinkGeek.com and he's always threatening things like the Psycho bath mat, Star Wars stuff for the bathroom, etc. I'm a little more of an HGTV girl myself, with the exception of the "extreme" homes.

If and when we build our own house that's truly ours, I'm going to see about putting in white cabinets, a black granite countertop, black and white blacksplash, and a dark floor. Then we can go bananas with the red and Mickey stuff in the kitchen, it will fit, and the kitchen will still be "re-sale-able".

But that's like 5 years out, minimum.
