Growing Up With Mickey

I really need to get a picture of all of his Mickey stuff that he has been given since we found out we were having him. My parents gave him a Valentine's Day Mickey that is holding a snow globe that has a picture of DS behind it...so he is loving it...cracks up every time he looks at Mickey holding his picture.

Oh yeah...here is some video I took the other day of DS watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He starts dancing after about 15 seconds.

We think he is trying to say "Mickey" every now and then...as we keep hearing him say "icky". Who knows..."Mickey" may end up being his first word...or one of the first.

So cute!! That would be funny if his first word was Mickey...I'm betting Mama or Dada will edge the mouse out though

44 Weeks Old!

I had some really good pictures of DS this week...then he decided to "charge" the camera laughing...so I had to go with that one!

I was just looking at some of the first photos you shared of DS

. You know it never gets old just how amazing the first year of life is and the changes that take place in that year...both inside & out

! You are surely blessed with this little man

. He's simply precious.

Thank you...we love him. He has so much personality and he is as sweet as he can be...we know we are blessed.

My sister had her little girl on Feb 5th and it is amazing seeing how little she is and remembering back to when DS was just a few weeks old.

The reason we've taken his picture and posted it each week really was more for us than anything...so we would have a way to look back on his first year to see him grow. I wish there was a good way for us to get down to WDW to get DS' first haircut done at the Harmony Barber Shop...but a trip this year just doesn't look possible. I do know that once we make it down there we will try to get DS a haircut so he will have that experience.

The year really has gone fast, hasn't it? He's such a cute toddler now! It's been fun watching him go from newborn to infant to baby to toddler this way. You should order a big poster of his first 52 weeks with all the photos on it. What a neat room decoration that would be.
