Yep, various articles around the web made it sound like they were rolling out the bands in January. Bad journalism!

I've seen several sites that indicate the bands are already in use. Any word on how soon they actually will be?

Not till WE say they are! The turnstiles aren't even half done yet.

You can't believe everything these stupid blogs post....

That's the thing, there are official Disney sites that say they are using them. That is where the confusion comes in...

Test groups are using them now, mostly executives. They actually book them at a resort and give them the band to test. No guests are using them yet.

Ah, yeah, the marketing materials they are rolling out aren't pointing that out very clearly. It will be interesting to see what tweaks get made to the system before it rolls out to all the guests.

Yeah... no...

It is interesting that they will be offering color options (probably), as they have eyelets that would imply they can be removed, so you can at least throw them in your pocket, purse, or god-awful fanny pack and be done with it.

And considering they are entirely OPTIONAL, I can't figure out why people are putting on their tin foil hats.

Although all cast members apparently are getting one for our parks leisure time.

I wouldn't eat it until you have a day or so left on your vacation ~ you could get away with tapping your tummy on the card reader, but any more than a day after that and you might be out of luck
