The mouse is watching the Marauders

Post by MadEye » Jan Fri 25, 2013 9:44 am

We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”
― Dr. Seuss

Awesome! Reading about some of the food made me very hungry though.

Can't wait! F&G is my favourite time of year here. Now to see who is performing.

 That's awesome! I would like to get to EPCOT sometime to see the special festivals. Unfortunately I would think the parks would also be very crowded around those same times :(

That's good to know. I like flowers better than food anyhow. But it would be fun to go to F&W with an unlimited snack allowance and taste some of the goodies. Most of what I see in pictures people post aren't things I would probably eat anyhow though

I admit, there were many things I wanted to try. But I wouldn't go to the F&W on the dining plan. By the time we ate lunch, and were eating dinner early (my stepdad made all the ressies for 5-5:30. :P ), we didn't even use our ONE snack credit each day. We had b'fast in the condo, lunch midday, a humungous dinner every evening, and literally no room, unless we wanted to stuff ourselves beyond comfort, to try most of the food. We did get a neat little dessert at one of the kiosks between Canada and Futureworld. For $1 they had little cups of a little dessert. That was where we had the spicy salted caramel chocolate mousse.

So my recommendation for enjoying the F&W would be to book a room and ticket package only, and then pay cash for the food at the kiosks. It will be PLENTY to eat, and you'll need to go multiple days, or just sit around waiting to not be full, if you want to try everything. You can still get decent food at the other parks when you're there, and might end up enjoying the experience more.

But be prepared for crowds at Epcot.

I'm thinking I won't brave the crowds for F&W until I am living rather close to WDW. That way if the crowds get too bad, I can bail for the day and not feel bad about leaving.
You actually found a treat for only $1? I didn't realize there were things that were that inexpensive. Everything I see always seems to hover between $5 and $9 for the various tastes.

Yep, but that was the only one. Most things were in the $4.50 - $7 range. And the cups were SMALL. Just a little bigger than those disposable plastic cups many churches use for communion. I'd say... an ounce, MAYBE two, probably 1 1/2 or so. They gave you these little tiny spoons to use to eat it.

But truly that was all of that spicy mousse I wanted. It was HOT. I wish I had gotten the blueberry one.
