New picture feature

Post by FlatlandMounty » Apr Sun 16, 2006 2:21 am

I've heard about this new feature in the parks. They have cameramen stationed at strategic locations around the park. These cameramen take your picture throughout the day, and transmit it back to a central location, and give you a ticket. At the base, graphic artists, lightly airbrush photos to ensure Disney Quality. Then at the end of the day, you can take your tickets to the booth and they will burn a CD of your trip.

Anybody else heard of this? Used it?

Last time I was there I saw them implementing this feature. We didn't use it because we had a digital camera. But it seems like a nice way to go. Lots of people seem to use it.

This is a great feature.. The first time you get your picture taken they give you an actual credit card like thing with a barcode on it.

Then everytime you see a cameraman you hand him the card and he scans it and then as you said all the pictures go back to a central place where you can order them!

Is this the PhotoPass you're talking about, or something else? We used the photopass back in December, and it's nice, but if you happen to forget to bring it along with you each day, you have to get another one issued. We came home with 3 different photo pass ID cards! It's my own darn fault, but still it's kind of a hassle! It's nice to be able to come home and then decide on your pictures, though. You can add all sorts of enhancemants and borders to them--that's pretty cool. Hope we're talking about the same thing!

Someone I talked to on the inside told me that they actually employ people who do photo retouching so that photos are better quality.

I read about this in the pamphelt brochure I got at WDW over the weekend. I'll have to give it a try when Auntie Zee comes in May.

She owes me a trip with her which we didn't get to do a few months ago. :D
