Also, that is probably a good idea to get more people to buy the ears since they don't have that "wow" factor when you can't see them on your head.
At least there is the opportunity to see the show without being an AP holder or buying the dinner. That is nice...if they actually have any spaces available.

Considering the capacity and that they are doing multiple shows over a few weeks, they probably will.

Speaking of the special events, they have been doing 3 kings day at DLR for 2 or 3 years now, right? Apparently the usual racists got wind of this year's event and are decrying Disney's pandering to groups.

Latest update from Micechat: Golden Horseshoe Revue returns as Big Thunder Mountain closes for refurbishment at Disneyland, etc.

For those that are wishing they could go to the golden horseshoe, don't worry too much. The reviews have been mixed, most of the butt-hurt has been that the dead guy isn't in the show, but at the same time if they would have hired a replacement it would have been complaints that he wasn't the dead guy.

For that the cannon is loaded with frozen monte cristo fritters. :D

Are you planning on going while the show is being performed?

Nope, there was a reason the show was removed in the first place.

Oh. I enjoy the recording of the old show. I know the jokes are corny, but it sounds like it was a great show at the time. I would go if I was out in DL. I wonder if they will also bring the show to WDW at some point this year?

So good to finally see the monorails in DLR return to their normal roles. I definitely was not a fan of the corny cars overlay on them. As for the picture system, if it is more efficient than the ID check I will be all for it. However, I just think in peak times this will make the situation worse. I know I was there on a day where the park was at low capacity, but there were still lines to get in at the main gates.

I didn't like the cars overlay on them either. It was too ridiculous to me.

To me it took away a lot from the monorail. It just seemed very cheesy and window decals for the eyes never really fit the monorail and the theming of Disneyland to me. In addition, the monorail at DLR is an attraction and it really should not be altered to advertise for something else. I hate how they advertise on the WDW monorails, but that is a transportation method like the buses which also have advertisements in them.

I do like the points you made on both DLR and WDW's monorails. I can tell why people think it's annoying for WDW monorails to advertise but the point that you brought up involving the buses makes a lot of sense.

At the same time, attractions have been promotion mediums for outside companies so it is in the same spirit. The only difference is that they are promoting internal franchises now.

Have to agree with you on this one. The buses for years have had a DVC advertisement on the back and then posters for movies or shows on the inside.

As you may have also noticed, the backs of the ticket booths and the studio buildings at DCA at all features ads for upcoming tv, movies, and games.

Yup, they've been doing that for as long as I can remember.
