Oh, I was only talking about for holiday decorations. The best time, though you are in places where it gets snow, for me was like early May where they had summer hours, lower humidity, but no crowds.

Re: Candlelight Processional
I can attest to October no longer being "dead." We went in 2001 and it was really fun because there weren't many people and the weather was great. This year, the crowds were annoying, the stroller parking was obnoxious, and it was oh, so hot. I don't think Disney had anything to do with the heat, but the other two were probably attributable to the opening of New Fantasyland and the Food and Wine Festival.Amy wrote:Yes and No. It isn't as dead as it used to be. The last time we went right before Thanksgiving was pretty busy. Nothing approaching the crowds of the summer and spring break times of course, but still busier than it used to be. I think the various promotions on hotel rooms and dining packages as well as the different events they have spread out over the year ~ marathon, food and wine, flower and garden ~ have really evened out park attendance over the year.Wizzard419 wrote:I remember hearing, a few years back, that for holiday time at WDW the best time to go is actually in Nov right before thanksgiving week. All of the holiday stuff is up (and I think the hours are also longer) and the parks are dead.
Haha I almost typed "Fool and Wine Festival"

Considering people are paying the whole bottle price for a glass of prosecco, that statement isn't far off.

Re: Candlelight Processional
We were there from Dec. 7 until Dec. 24 (nice, long break!!!). Early on, the crowds were low and we could get onto just about anything with less than a 30 minute wait, if any at all. By Dec. 22, the crowds were horrible--a 60 min wait for SSE, 30 min for Figment!!! We just enjoyed the decorations and drank heavily

Wow! What a great vacation! Did you travel anywhere else or did you stay at WDW the whole time? That was nice that you were able to enjoy everything early on and relax and simply enjoy decorations and libations the last few daysstinoi wrote:We were there from Dec. 7 until Dec. 24 (nice, long break!!!). It feels like we haven't had "dead" in forever. It's quiet now but that's only because the BTGs are barely coming in yet.cy1229 wrote:I can attest to October no longer being "dead."
