Soarin' sounded totally awesome!!!!!! And that Neil guy was good too... but Soarin' was for sure the STAR of the show!! Yay!!!!!

I checked and saw that we did not have a general topic open for the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT. So, I won't put a date on this and we'll keep this ongoing.

I am singing in this awesome show on Saturday, November 24 @ 5pm. If anyone is nearby, please come see me. The guest narrator is Geena Davis. We are only doing one show this year, but that just means more time to be spent in the Park afterward. You will probably find me hanging out in Mexico after the show.

Also, Soarin08 is in the Disney choir and will be singing at multiple shows this year so please go see her as well if you get the chance.

If you get to any shows, please post pictures and let us know who the narrator was for your show.

We went on Dec. 23 (absolutely necessary to have the dinner package, as the standby line was INSANE). The narrator was Gary Sinise, whom we met briefly after the show. What a wonderful guy--he recognized our servicemen and women in the audience and gave a salute. This was our first Candlelight Processional, and we would definitely go again!

That is great that you got to meet the narrator after the program. I didn't realize they did that at all. He does to be quite a supporter of the troops.

We never been to Disney at Christmas time. We are planning to go in 2015. Can't wait.

Yes, but the decorations and music and special shows! I don't know that we would ever go right at Christmas, but just before is nice

I'm with you, Amy. I will avoid huge crowds at almost any cost, but if we could steal away in early December to check it all out, that would be good. Of course, this would have to be an empty-nest trip. I think my kids might start to disown me if I keep thinking about Disney trips I can take without them.

I remember hearing, a few years back, that for holiday time at WDW the best time to go is actually in Nov right before thanksgiving week. All of the holiday stuff is up (and I think the hours are also longer) and the parks are dead.

Yes and No. It isn't as dead as it used to be. The last time we went right before Thanksgiving was pretty busy. Nothing approaching the crowds of the summer and spring break times of course, but still busier than it used to be. I think the various promotions on hotel rooms and dining packages as well as the different events they have spread out over the year ~ marathon, food and wine, flower and garden ~ have really evened out park attendance over the year.

They are better. We saw an appreciable dip in attendance in the days following Thanksgiving when we were there last time. I just miss the good ole days when October was a ghost town. I know it wasn't good for their bottom line, but it was heaven for people like me who really don't tolerate crowds well

As key as the money is, those lulls are also the best time to do repairs, though it sucks if you go during the day near the start of tourist season because all the traniees are learning how to do stuff and it takes way longer to get on rides.

Boy..so true... We went in October in 2010. We were told that the crowds were not bad. That was a mistake. LOL.... January and early Feb is the best time to go. We visted in early February and enjoyed the crowds. The only bad part of the trip was the watching the Patriots lose to the Giants in the Superbowl. But we were at Disney
