Nice! I'm not much on Moroccan food, but it's always nice to have another restaurant on the lagoon!
Thanks for the update, Bro...

Re: Tapaz Restaurant
We liked some of the food we tried at the quick service restaurant in Morocco on our last trip, so we might be up for trying this new place. Especially with the awesome views of Illuminations it is sure to have!

Re: Tapaz Restaurant
Interesting, if I recall none of their establishments really had a view since they were built like traditional houses.
I do wonder how long until people soon realize that Disney is going to eat up a lot of the viewing spaces for the show so that special dining packages are required for better seats?

Re: Tapaz Restaurant
That's definitely a good point Wizz. There are already 2 food options in Morocco, so a third is unnecessary overkill. Also, since this is going to serve F&W type food year round, does that mean there will not be a Morocco booth anymore? I thought they were one of the best this year.

Re: Tapaz Restaurant
Technically, it's not Food and Wine fest type food, food and wine fest type food is small plates.
I think, judging by what the people note is served, that has no impact on booths since the booths serve up new items made just for the event.

I remember there being a quick service at Via Napoli in 2010 or 2011 for something...maybe Food & Wine...but it was just temporary.Soarin08 wrote:How about QSR in Canada or Italy instead... I mean really.

Considering they have been blocking off the waterfront for a new place in morocco, they may start adding more dining establishments to the pavillions.

I was going to say, out of the two pavilions in the world showcase, one being Norway and the other Morocco, I would say they both need a little pick-me-up. Would you all agree? Yes, Norway has an awesome water ride, but it could use some TLC, as well as maybe a new attraction. Morocco doesn't really have much going for it, until now that is! I've always found myself walking past it, honestly.

I would have to disagree on Morocco. It has two restaurants and a lot of shopping. Canada appears to be the one that is truly lacking.

Aside from the reason most of the pavillions don't expand (lacking land, the cost, and no one to foot the bill), I wonder if there are also limitations on what they can/can't do as well. Apparently Islam doesn't allow depictions of people in art, and pretty much nothing would fly with that rule.

They did have a pizza window open when we were there in 2010 or 2011, but it was only open on Saturdays or something like that.theBIGyowski wrote:I remember there being a quick service at Via Napoli in 2010 or 2011 for something...maybe Food & Wine...but it was just temporary.Soarin08 wrote:How about QSR in Canada or Italy instead... You really should check out Morocco. I really love how beautiful the pavilion is, especially when it is lit up at nightTikiTikiRoom wrote:I was going to say, out of the two pavilions in the world showcase, one being Norway and the other Morocco, I would say they both need a little pick-me-up. From what I have always understood, the host country does contribute a lot to the actual pavilion, particularly those like China and Morocco where certain cultural or religious practices are commonplace, ie. feng shui or Islam.Wizzard419 wrote:Aside from the reason most of the pavillions don't expand (lacking land, the cost, and no one to foot the bill), I wonder if there are also limitations on what they can/can't do as well.
