Mayhem Marauders Meet-up Part Deux!

I have a light to mild case of demophobia which doesn't interfere with my daily life at all (I live in a small town and work in a small city) nor does it keep me away from the parks, but well, it's definitely why I choose only to go in January and/or October. So the worst part of every trip for me is coming upon the parade crowds. Just can't bring myself to trust the throngs to behave themselves, even in Disney World or Land. I do try to see the Electric Light Parade though - from afar. I always loved it as a kid and still do as an adult, just wish it wasn't so crowded.

And I wish I had ventured into the forums sooner. Would be cool to join the meet-up! Looks like I'll be there a week or so after the mayhem.

I had to look that up ~ but I definitely have that problem! The worst is definitely the parades. The crowds keep bunching up and well...crowding you in! And I have a problem in some of the less structured queues in some of the attractions. Since I am generally riding alone, it is difficult for me to keep my personal space intact.

I have an excellent solution for maintaining my personal space in queues. I bring my knitting along. I usually knit socks while in lines and make sure I'm working them on 4 double pointed needles which looks very complicated and kinda like a torture device but is really quite simple to manipulate. People don't crowd you when you have multiple pointy sticks in hand.

I like it! You will fit in well with the mayhem we like to create
I'm afraid my blue glow in the dark earplugs probably invite people to crowd just a wee bit closer to see what's in my ears (I have very sensitive hearing which doesn't go well with many of the attractions noise level. That problem was mostly solved two years ago with custom plugs!)

I have been working on the last part of our January (yes, January...it's not a typo) trip, however between trying to figure out the new photobucket and my crappy computer it's been real slow going. I've got the pictures uploaded, but I can only resize a few photos before it freezes up on me. Hopefully when we pick up our new computer next week from layaway, the problem will be fixed.

P.S. I have Family Feud on and the question is: "Name something that everyone knows about Cinderella"...the guy buzzes in and says "she's homeless". WHAT??? Yeah, Steve Harvey had fun with that one...

Well, for reasons that will remain private, I had to delete my Photobucket account and consequently all the pics I had on there. I almost had Subsonic delete my account here as well, but he talked me out of it. The long and short of it is that I probably won't be participating much here for a while, but hopefully after things calm down I'll be back in the swing of things. We have a cruise coming up on the Dream soon, so I'd like to be able to report on that when the time comes. We'll see. Meanwhile, keep up the mayhem.

So sad, all your beautiful photos?! I hope you enjoy your cruise and can share it with us...it's unlikely that F1gment and I will ever get to go on a Disney cruise so I definitely look forward to hearing about others experiences! And we all know how I like looking at pictures
