Did they fix the second to last scene? It was always weird how he would go through 2 sets of approach dialouge but never get the second half.
This week it gets a cannon filled with stale gingerbread from last year's HMH display.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
Very interesting update as it gave me a perspective of how amazing California Adventure really is now when compared what was there. I really do wish I was able to see Indiana Jones as it really looks like one of the few attractions in DL with a nice queue. It's nice to see the sunny weather return after I had left lol.

Yes it was. Just reopened this past week. I think I only missed it by a couple of days. The Fun Wheel was also supposed to be closed for a small refurb according to the Disney site, but that never happened.Amy wrote:Was Indy closed for a refurb when you were there?Len90 wrote:Very interesting update as it gave me a perspective of how amazing California Adventure really is now when compared what was there. Bummer ~ Indy really is a fun attraction! Did you go on the Fun Wheel? That one is also a great attraction. F1gment always surprises me by wanting to go on the swinging carsLen90 wrote:Yes it was. They might not have been able to do the stuff on the fun wheel because of the rain since that would make work difficult.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
Pretty interesting to see the 2013 merchandise out on full display already. I know that two weeks ago everything was still 2012 and there was lots of it. I like how they are incorporating the Believe in Magic with the 52 weeks of surprises. It seems like a cute tie in and a nice play on the number 13 for the word believe.
One think the micechat picked up on finally was the combination of the parks and the loss of individuality for each place. I noted this when I was there in that all the merchandise (for the most part) was generic and there was really nothing that popped out at me and said buy me.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
That is about normal for DLR, not sure about WDW, because this is the time that all the tourists show up and they reach park killing capacity. Since not everyone will be there for NYE because they either have other plans or simply can't get in, they sell the merch early.
I am curious as to how you can "save" something that isn't confimed or even noted as being on the list for demolition? If nothing happens do they consider themselves a winner?
Also, this week the cannon for it is filled with reels of film for The Hobbit shown in Imax 3D and at 48 fps.

Can't actually save it but you can hope that it doesn't disappear following the lengthy refurb. I'm sure micechat will somehow be getting their camera over the walls to see more of what is happening during the course of the project.Wizzard419 wrote: I am curious as to how you can "save" something that isn't confimed or even noted as being on the list for demolition? At the same time, it may never have been slated for removal. I can picture them doing a TSA style "We did it!" if nothing happens.

Man, I am still amazed locals go to the NYE at DLR, or anytime between now and 1/1 because you literally can't get in after noon or so.
