Re: What is your Fireworks display?
I would REALLY love to see "World Of Color" come to Hollywood Studios. Mainly because I don't think I will get to DCA and would really love to see it in person!

Yup...Tapestry of Dreams, thats the one. I never knew they had any other parade at EPCOT, except for 2000 when it was called Tapestry of Nations, and was pretty much the same parade. Thanks, Sleepy90, forgot the nameSleepy90 wrote:Hmmm I think it may be Tapestry of dreams parade that Sharonofwindham is thinking of but I may be wrong. This was one of my favourite parades loved the music and the puppets.cy1229 wrote:We didn't watch Illuminations at all this trip, mostly because of the crowds and not wanting to deal with them afterward.Sharonofwindham wrote:I do love Illuminations, HOWEVER, I have to say I am ready for a change. I certainly don't know how they would top it, but I do hope they give it a try one day. I also hope they bring back the parade at EPCOT. Don't know why it ever left. Doesn't make any sense to me. They would never dream of leaving MK without a parade of some sort, why EPCOT? I chose Wishes because it's what I was in the mood to see when I made my choice
Anyone else ready for a change regarding Illuminations, or would you miss it too much?
I love the music but you're right, it does need a refresh.
The parade you're talking about - do you mean the nightly children's processional through the WS before Illuminations?

Got an email from a friend of mine who is at WDW for a few days. Thought you might appreciate his take on Illuminations...
Iluminations, reflection of earth at Epcot was awesome. By far the biggest, best, all at once amount of fire works I've ever watched.

Of the options listed, I've seen Fantasy in the Sky, regular Wishes, Sorcery in the Sky, Fantasmic!, and I: RoE.
I honestly remember nothing about Fantasy because I saw it so few times, and the only thing I remember about Sorcery is the giant inflatable Sorcerer Mickey. I think I only saw that once. Maybe twice.
I love all of the current shows, but if I could only pick one, I voted for Wishes for the emotional factor and the music. If I could pick another one for sheer awe, it would be Fantasmic. I love the end with Sorcerer Mickey and can't stop smiling during it. So much fun to see him "conduct" the fireworks.

I love Fantasmic, but I voted for Illuminations because I always leave feeling awestruck when it's over.

I voted for Illuminations because I love it so much and always have, but I'll admit that Wishes! is a close second for me - I've come to love watching it from the California Grill balcony with a great glass of wine - not just from in the park.

Now you've got me in the mood to be sitting on the beach at the Poly watching Wishes....or even better, watching them from the Pirate Fireworks Cruise. (Especially since we have two feet of new snow here in New Hampshire!)

Re: What is your Fireworks display?
Have you gone on the Pirate Fireworks Cruise? I'm always in the mood to be at Disney, but the snow definitely helps with that feeling! Luckily we have escaped a lot of the worst of the storms these last few days. We only have about 8" of good, heavy, wet packing snow. It would be great if I was in the mood to make a snow fort or a snowman...but it's not so nice when shoveling and plowingfancyfeet wrote:Now you've got me in the mood to be sitting on the beach at the Poly watching Wishes....or even better, watching them from the Pirate Fireworks Cruise. Re: What is your Fireworks display?
My fireworks will always be Illuminations. Wishes is okay but the lack of backstory and overly saccarine Disney details make me want them to hurry up and end every time I decide to watch.
