A universal owned spirit in a disney park?! For shame!

(Vivendi-Universal owns them, as well as video game companies... it's weird)

Only of Gaston's Tavern for guests, press and media have been in Be Our Guest for publicity shots. Tastings of the QSR offerings at Gaston's opened up a couple days ago.

EPCOT has alcohol so I don't think it will be a problem. But then again, Magic Kingdom has a ton more kids...hmm

There are plenty of kids in the other parks AND DTD and it never has stopped the sales. The crazy locals come out - dragging their kids! - to DTD on the weekends and end up blitzed and obviously liquor sales haven't ceased there... I'd suspect most kids have already seen it at home anyway.

Disney seems to have a good handle on disruptive guests. When there are people involved.... you will always have some kind of knuckleheads. :( :goofy:

I doubt there will be any issues but personally, I just don't think Walt would approve. He planned the MK and Roy built the MK with a few standards and 1 was no alcohol in the MK. If they can keep those bears and Carosel of Progress then it seems to me they could have respected this no alcohol standard.

I believe that TMK has survived quite well without alcohol from 1971 to now and there are many, many other parks and resorts where those who want alcohol can get it.

True...but Club 33 has had alcohol for years...possibly even since it opened in 1967...and it has a full service bar.

This is just a restaurant serving alcohol to guests dining there...not a beer stand in Liberty Square. It really is no different than Club 33 in that regard.

A beer stand in Liberty Square would be more authentic.

I AM NOT SAYING THERE SHOULD BE ONE, just saying the drinking of ale was much, much, much more common in the 18th and 19th centuries than it is today.
