i havent seen that facade done up in christmas lights, are they white, or are those multicolored? i would think it would be easier if they are multi to get the proper ratio of color on the facade... otherwise i would see no reason to string them the way they did

If I recall, they are sort of multi-colored, in the sense that there are strands of different lights, but they are all the same color on each strand. The reason it is so weird that they are doing it that way is that every othr method they use has the layout planned before they put it on the buildings, so they always have the exact measurement.

That does seem odd that they would string the wires first, then come along and plop in the lightbulbs later. Seems like a lot more labor. Maybe they were having problems with burnt out bulbs, or bulbs breaking while they were stringing them up? Although in either case, it seems like it would be easier to replace a few bulbs here and there rather than have to place each individual bulb. Maybe it is a union thing to guarantee more hours before the holidays?

I think this kind of stuff is like what they do with HMH and ride stuff, it's all contractors.

Hose, meet "it", you get "it", enjoy. :D

Now, I wonder how hard the ice rink will have to work in the coming weeks since (for example) it's going to be in the 90's this weekend.

Can we please stop with the hose? It's gotten to be tiring.

I'm hoping it won't be too much of a hassle to deal with the ice rink out in the open. I am just sick of this head when it should be nice and cool for the fall.

First update I've read in a long time. I wonder if they do something special to the bricks on the fire station or if they simply paint them? Do any Disneylanders know?
I like the new squished penny design with Walt and Mickey on his suitcase. I hope they still have that design the next time I am able to get to DCA!
Is Cinderella's dress all that different? It mentions it being a new design with her in front of the ice castle, but it looks about the same to me :?
Hmmm, the ice rink is interesting. Sounds expensive to me, but if they say it is an average price, then I suppose it is ok. I just can't imagine a lot of people plunking down $12 - $15 for an hour of really regulated skate time. The skate park near us is $3 for unlimited skate time and $3 rental, so the rental price at DL is exactly the same as a mid-sized Midwestern town. Actually, I guess Disney is offering a great deal!
Mmmm, an Earl of Sandwich. I do like their sandwiches :D

Wait, so you comment without reading? Have you been reading my management handbook? :D

Also... no one ever gets tired of all that head... :D

If you are a native, you know it doesn't cool off in October but normally spikes since the Santa Anas. Downside, no chocolate making or ice sculputres, plus side, shorts till february.

That would be pretty cool to see Dick Van Dyke narrate the Christmas story! :D

One thing about the watches, they were hand drawn images put in crap watch cases, do you were literally paying hundreds for a $20 movement.

I see that castle bukakke has happened again as well. :D

This week the hose is filled with candy corn, the worst candy ever created, and that is counting Mexican tamarind candy.
