There is a bit of hypocracy when it comes to overindulgance too, it's taboo to some that MK (considering that every other hotel and park and anything with a total footprint of more than 20 by 20 feet has the paperwork to sell) would serve beer and wine in one location within the park while at the same time they have no qualms about them serving stuff like the Kitchen Sink sundae or a giant lump of fried dough.

Both can also have... undesireable outcomes on behavior as well.

Well if *I* ate that thing with all those maraschino cherries I'd die.

Is that what you want, Wiz? You want me to die?  (sorry, couldn't resist)

I think the sundae is better than a beer because I can share it with my kids and we can have a spoon-fight over the hot fudge.

What, changes coming? Change is inevitable, my friend. So if there are changes, they should be for good reasons, not just willy-nilly or for the sake of change. :)
Hmmmmmmmmmm, you don't work in the corporate business world, do you? That common sense isn't allowed through the front door. Change must be done for the sake of change. It's how alot of corporate executives justify their existences...

Technically, not true. They have served alcohol at the Magic Kingdom for private parties and such. However, for public consumption, you are right!

I'm against it in the MK just because that was Walt's wish. I have no problems with alcohol being in the other parks, in fact, I'm a huge fan of it being at EPCOT. Why couldn't they keep just one park dry? The main excuse is that it will just be served at dinner in this one restuarant. But what happens if it is very popular? Will they decide to start offering it at Sleepy Hollow next???

I'm going to say probably not for the simple reason that (if the liquor laws are the same across the nation) it would require more permits, which aren't free, and they also wouldn't be able to make nearly as much as when someone is having a sit down meal.

But, even then, there is slippery slope argument that if they dare serve alcohol it would cause mass drunken orgies on it's a small world. :D Which is, obviously, false (they would do it on the riverboat).

Also, still haven't seen any support for the claim that "Walt wanted it dry".

Wiz has changed my mind. Small World would be so much nicer under the influence. Bring on the booze. ;)
