I have always been a big Star Trek fan. I loved the original series, but I think that Next Generation was the best of the TV series. I also like Voyager. I could never get into Deep Space Nine, and I only watched Enterprise a couple of times.
I think that Wrath of Khan was the best of the movies, and Ricardo Montalbán was the best Star Trek Villain. First Contact is a close second. The Borg are the coolest alien bad guys.
PS Star Wars rules too.

I am a devoted Star Trek fan, although the series did not get much impact on this side of the Atlantic...
Which I cannot understand because it is an intelligent production. The original series was broadcast here (long time ago...), STTNG was too, then a little bit of Deep Space Nine and some episodes of Voyager, but Enterprise was never on. I'm speaking of public TV broadcasting (not satellite TV, or some paid cable TV). I guess sci-fi was never a big thing in Europe. Too bad...
To me, The Next Generation was by far the best Star Trek series. I enjoyed the scenarios and the characters. Data's still my favorite one.

Yeah, that was a good reason to watch it. Although I prefer DS9 for TV and VI for movies. I love DS9 because it had a totally different feel from the others. The other Shows were all about going out and exploring but DS9 showed us what happened with the Stations ( more or less).
The undiscovered Country because DeForest Kelley was heavily featured in it. He has great comedic timing.
