I'd go with Main Street Electrical Parade any day of the week. The electrical voice that opens the parade gives me goosebumps when it comes on the PA system.

I prefer the Main Street Electrical Parade, as it's more "Classic Disney" and I think better done overall, but Spectromagic is awesome too :D

The only two places I will ever need to be are Manhattan and Disney World.

Too bad that they couldn't alternate them every other day. :goofy:

Spectromagic is my favorite, as I think the music is more uplifting and memorable! :)

Spectro for me, hands down. I love the music, I love the floats (especially Mickey's cape float), and I love the characters included. Love the lights, love the Chernabog section, and the EQ & Hook. It was also the first Disney nighttime parade I ever saw. From 2004 onward, we pretty much saw it at least 2 different times per trip, sometimes 3. I adore it, and I cried when I last saw it in May 2010 because I knew it would be awhile before it came back, if it ever did. :(

I saw MSEP the first time when it was in WDW in the late 90s, I think it was. I didn't mind it then. Saw it again last year, and now I just detest it, start to finish. I'm not happy that I will likely be stuck watching that again this year if I want to see a nighttime parade even once. I don't like most of the floats, it's missing characters I would like to see, and that music makes me want to rip my eardrums out. And that's coming from a person who can happily listen to "It's a Small World" on a loop for an hour and smile and sing along. :|

 There are few things I really do not like in WDW. The MSEP is one, and the atrocity they call a parade over at DHS these days is another. MK's 3pm offering is no great shakes either anymore; hopefully they'll get a new one to go along with the Fantasyland Expansion.

Disney does't seem to push the electric water parade either.... I remember back in 1976 at my first vist to Disney(When that was the only park) sitting on the bank with thousands of other people watching that parade......(omg i am getting old) :goofy:

I don't remember ever seeing the parade. We saw the parade floats during a behind the scenes tour once, but that's it. They just don't advertise it for some reason...and of course you're not getting old! I went to the park for the first time in 1976 too and I'm certainly not old

Looks like SpectroMagic ran from 1991-1999, and then again from 2001-2010. We were lucky enough to see it a few times, plus we've seen the Main Street Electrical parade several times. I like them both :D

I've seen both and prefer Spectromagic, both for music and for display. I wish there were a way to offer both. (Somewhere, a Disney finance officer just passed out.)
Hoping to go back to the Magic soon.

 Yeah, that would be pretty neat. Maybe have one parade in DHS and one in the MK. That would be terribly expensive though :(

I like the idea of having them both!!! But... as usual ,you're right Amy, it would be expensive to do both!!
