The view of the fireworks was amazing. The waiter we had was also amazing. He was very funny and very knowledgeable. Getting to see and take pictures with all the princesses without having to wait in line was also a big plus. For all these reasons I have to say that the castle has got to be my favorite Character Meal.
Wow this sounds nice! I might have to try this character meal next time. Did you like being there during the fireworks? I'm thinking it would be nice. Also, was the restaurant less crowded being it was around parade/firework time? Thanks for the info!
Hey the fireworks were nice but we had a window seat so we could see them very well. I'm not sure how well the others could see them, though the windows are pretty big. As far as the crowd, the restaurant was completely full. Make sure you make reservations if you want to eat here. Another thing too is that we didn't finish our food until the majority of the crowd had left after the fireworks, so we got to walk down a pretty deserted main street on the way out of the park which made for some real good castle pictures.
Oh yeah you won me over with the nighttime castle pictures! We got some nice deserted main street pics in the morning with reservations at Crystal Palace so this would be great for night castle pics. Here is a picture of the castle we got before the park opened when we were on our way to breakfast.

Nothing sad about that. Sounds like a great dinner, with awesome atmosphere. Plus you were at Disney!! But I suppose if it makes you sad, you could try to do a romantic dinner together soon :D

And if we do, I would love to do something nice like either Cinderella's castle or that chef's table thing.. I forgot which restaurant that is.. but the problem is going to be getting enough time off to be able to do everything we want to do...
how about 'be our guest'? it should be open by then...
Hmm.. I dont know anything about it.. where is it and is it a character meeting? I would guess if it was it would be Beauty and the beast and Lumiere and such?
Be Our guest is the new restaurant opening in Fantasyland. Counter service by day and table service by night. It looks like it is going to be really nice. I don't think it is supposed to be a character dinner though.

I love it when you can get photos with no people in them! Doesn't happen very often so it makes them all the better when you see them :D Nice picture!

Thanks! Yeah I was so excited for my husband to be able to take pictures like this. The Be Our Guest restaurant sounds neat. I'm gonna have to look up more info on that one.

Ah, thanks for the info. I guess I need to go look it up.. I am assuming it will not be open by next Feb, right? Most likely even if it was I doubt we could get reservations for the night tables. They will sell out fast I am sure

Here is the link for the thread here on Subsonic ~ viewtopic.php?f=9&t=7730&=be+our+guest+restaurant
And here is a link to an article on the disney food blog ~ http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2012/06/2 ... ntasyland/
Looks like it will be opening sometime late this year. Ressies should be accepted starting in late August. Soooooo, if you like what you read about it, you could be among the first to try it!

Oooh.. I was looking at that blog link.. that sounds like some seriously nice stuff.. The issue is that I am not the one organizing it, so I am at his mercy, but I will talk to the guy organizing it and making the arrangements and reservations.

I REALLY wanna try this out.. thanks a ton for all the info.

Hopefully you can convince him that you would like to eat there. If everyone is agreeable, you can make it easier on him by offering to make the ressies? Or if they don't want to eat there, perhaps you can peel off from the group that evening? It looks like it would be pretty cool. Or maybe you would rather eat there for lunch. You could still enjoy the atmosphere but escape a little more inexpensively as far as food goes :D

Well we are probably going to talk to him about it in September, so I will bring it up then :)

Hmmm, might want to consider talking sooner if you can. If you do decide on dinner, and they start taking ressies in late August, I bet they are going to fill fast with it being brand new!

You can book reservations from 180 days out. We will be booking at the start of August for February.
Amy is right you will need to get that table booked early as it will be popular as it is new.

You could always book for the maximum amount of people you think would be going. Then when you get the number nailed down, you can change the ressie. Not sure if Be Our Guest is going to be one of the fancier restaurants that charges your credit card if you don't cancel the ressie in time. You might want to keep that in mind if you do end up going there.
Can you tell I really want you to eat there, and take pictures, and tell us how the food is?!?! ;)
