Once we were there and were in the same room with a family who was being filmed for a WDW Travel Channel show. Since they were filming, it took several takes. Because of this, the characters had to keep going back to the family's table. In the meantime, the characters would circle around the room again. We probably saw each character 3 times. At some point it was just like, ok Chip and Dale, I'm sick of you now, let me eat!
Liberty Tree Tavern closed???????

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( :( :(

When did this happen?
How did I miss it?
No no no, I think she means the character meal closed. LTT is still open! :D They now do a family style no character dinner and an a la carte lunch. I love their lunch!!!
Yes, that is what I did mean, the character meal part closed! Sorry to scare you! Liberty Tree is my favorite, so I would freak out if it closed.

I have to agree with the bringing back part. And it's obvious that I, too, would freak out if this place closed entirely. :) The characters at LTT had Colonial-era "clothing" on and were really cute. It also seemed, at the time, that the characters were less rushed at LTT than at other places like Askershus and Tony's. That was 2008, so it's been a little while.

It ended in 2009. I'm going tomorrow night, actually! Very excited. My dad has never been and he's coming down so I'm taking him there for dinner.

The wife and I ate at Cinderella's Castle during our October trip and asked for a window seat to view the fireworks. They gave us the best seat in the house. The view of the fireworks was amazing. The waiter we had was also amazing. He was very funny and very knowledgeable. Getting to see and take pictures with all the princesses without having to wait in line was also a big plus. For all these reasons I have to say that the castle has got to be my favorite Character Meal.

Im trying to get my hubby to agree to a long weekend trip to Disney for our 10th anniversary next year. And if we do, I would love to do something nice like either Cinderella's castle or that chef's table thing.. I forgot which restaurant that is.. but the problem is going to be getting enough time off to be able to do everything we want to do...

Oh that would be nice! I hope you can work it out to get all the time off you need. You should also drop a hint to your hubby to do one of those in room deliveries, I saw a nice one with jewelry I think it was a bracelet. :D

The sad part is that is probably one of the most romantic evenings we have ever had.

Wow this sounds nice! I might have to try this character meal next time. Did you like being there during the fireworks? I'm thinking it would be nice. Also, was the restaurant less crowded being it was around parade/firework time? Thanks for the info!

Hey the fireworks were nice but we had a window seat so we could see them very well. I'm not sure how well the others could see them, though the windows are pretty big. As far as the crowd, the restaurant was completely full. Make sure you make reservations if you want to eat here. Another thing too is that we didn't finish our food until the majority of the crowd had left after the fireworks, so we got to walk down a pretty deserted main street on the way out of the park which made for some real good castle pictures.
