I too like the Epcot music, especially the Christmas entrance music. But my favorite discovery (since finding Subsonic Radio last week) was the Electrical Water Pageant...
I've never seen the Main Street Electrical Parade, but I've heard the music, and it was a neat surprise to hear how the Electrical Water Pageant included an earlier version of the theme that came to represent the parade.

I don't know if its a FAV or not, but the Feel Of The Wheel sure gets stuck in my head for days once I hear it! I heard my boss humming IASW when I got back from lunch last week, and he said hey that was on your radio when you were at lunch now it's stuck in my head! LOL and he has never been to a Disney Park! Which is jsut wrong! He doesn't understand my Disney obsession
He has 3 small kids so some day he will.

So True Lion Sleeps Tonight! I also joined to listen to the ride music but have come to love so much more. I enjoy so much of the area and quene music that I never really paid much attention to when I was in the parks. I absolutely love the entrance music to EPCOT. I can't wait for my next trip. I know that I will be listening to the muisc a lot more and in a totally different way!

I couldn't have said it better! There's just so much background music that you never really listen to. But hearing here at Subsonic makes you more aware as to what's playing in the background at all the parks.foldmama wrote:I enjoy so much of the area and quene music that I never really paid much attention to when I was in the parks. One of the greatest experiences of working at WDW was the opportunity to stroll the parks at night or early in the morning, with no guests. The background music seemed so loud without any crowd noise to compete with, really giving me a new appreciation for all the area music piped through the parks. When I moved up north and discovered Subsonic Radio, I was delighted to find the litany of area music loops Subsonic has collected. Now all I have to do is make a couple requests, close my eyes and lean back in my chair, and for a couple minutes I can return to those wonderful days at the most magical place on earth.

kgmadorin - for a second there, when I saw your new avatar and your comments, I had to double check to make sure you weren't quoting Walt Disney himself!!!kgmadorin wrote:One of the greatest experiences of working at WDW was the opportunity to stroll the parks at night or early in the morning, with no guests. Walt was the man. What more can I say? Thanks for the great compliment!lovesdisney44 wrote: kgmadorin - for a second there, when I saw your new avatar and your comments, I had to double check to make sure you weren't quoting Walt Disney himself!!!Your memories sound like something Walt Disney would have said about "his" park.
How long ago did you work there, and what did you do?
I worked at Walt Disney World for four wonderful years, spending most of my time as a Magic Kingdom Guest Relations Host and Disney Special Activities VIP Tour Guide. During that time, I fell in love with Disney history and Walt's heritage, due in part to my tenure as a Keys to the Kingdom Tour Guide. I just wish more of Walt's genius, passion, and vision was embraced by today's Disney execs.
Three years ago I was offered a position in Connecticut that was too good to pass by, and I left the Mouse. However, someday I know our paths will cross again.

WOW!!! What an awesome job . . . I think one of the more hard to get jobs, no? It sounds like it would have been a joy to go to work everyday. It's a shame someone with your love and passion of what Walt Disney stood for was lured away. I do hope that Walt Disney World gets a chance to lure you back.kgmadorin wrote:Walt was the man. I don't know about hard to get... the only real requirement was that you've been a Cast Member for at least one year. Besides that, you just needed to demonstrate a knowledge of WDW and go through a series of interviews. Except for the year of work requirement, I think almost everyone on this web site would qualify!lovesdisney44 wrote: WOW!!! What an awesome job . . . I think one of the more hard to get jobs, no? Guest Relations was LOTS of fun, but for the first six months, we were confined to City Hall and answering phones. If you lived through that, you were allowed to interview for added responsibilities, such as the Guest Relations Window at the park entrance, Keys to the Kingdom and Family Magic Tour Guide, Disney Special Activities VIP Tour Guide, and MO-7.
I do miss working at WDW a great deal, but thanks to sites like Subsonic Radio, I can still share my love of Disney on a daily basis!

I think i've always been with splash mountain but I think it's taht because well it's my favorite ride ever! I've loved ever since I was a little kid and even when I couldn't ride it, the atmosphere was just such a sweet thing and when I got tall enough to ride it I loved it so much that I still love it up to this day!!!
It's just such a great ride!!!!!!! (WDW)

I've always been fond of the area music and attraction soundtracks from WDW. But since I started listening here, I've also become a big fan of the music from California Adventure.
