I have no idea how my father got it, whether it was given to him as a joke or if he bought it as a lark because it was just that weird.. I wouldn't put either of those past him, hahah!

Hahah my dad is a tremendous tightwad. Trust me, he wouldn't have paid a lot for it..
It actually sounds like something you would get in a touristy town in Mexico...
Considering how much we have traveled, there is an EXTREMELY good chance it was procured somewhere in Mexico or Central America.

The funny thing is that reptile wines are actually used as medicine. The real stuff use venomous snakes (the alcohol denatures the toxins) and it is supposed to help with various problems. When I was in (I think) Taiwan I had cobra wine (the endanged species taste the best!) and it was like USD$100 a serving.

Ick ~ could you see the cobra in the bottle, or did they just use the head?

Well I dunno about those cobra wines.. but this bottle of lizard liquor is clear so you can see it.. even down to the hanging eyeball.

They are clear too, the lizard liquor is done the same way. Take reptile (usually dead) add to bottle, fill with a rice based alcohol (anything from Sake to Soju but the higher octane the better) allow to steep for a few weeks so all toxins are denatured, pose snake in scary way to show the power, and sell.

Can we get this back on topic... don't really see a need to discuss lizard liquors.

We're sorry Len

Anyone know if this kid was barred from returning to the park, or is it simply an escort out of the current attraction sort of reprimand?
