Probably an original written for EPCOT then. If you find out otherwise, let us know!figmentaholic wrote:As far as I can tell there doesn't seem to be an artist, it is just listed as being on the Epcot Innoventions loop. I can try to find out but it doesn't look like it.

According to the Innoventions Wikipedia site- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Innoventions_%28Epcot%29
Area music
The area music played at Epcot is about 20 minutes long and begins with a musical piece by David Arkenstone entitled "Papillon (On The Wings Of The Butterfly)" from his album In the Wake of the Wind. The rest of the music was composed by Russell Brower for Walt Disney Imagineering and is not commercially available. Brower would then compose the music for the World of Warcraft games.
It doesn't mention "The World of Tomorrow" specifically, but it sounds like it would fall under the music that Russell Brower made for the park. I will continue to look around.

Re: Favorite Park Music
Nice find! I'm just not too motivated today I guess, otherwise I would have done some checking myself. Had to do a last minute assignment over lunchtime and now am just biding my time until a graduation party this afternoon. Starting to look like rain so I'm real excited about that! The people having the grad party are prepared for rain and we need it so bad, they said they don't mind, so bring it on!!figmentaholic wrote:According to the Innoventions Wikipedia site- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Innoventions_%28Epcot%29Amy wrote:Probably an original written for EPCOT then. EDIT: Just listened to Papillon, and that is exactly the piece of music you were looking for ~ good job

Okay so... did a little more research.. Apparantly the music that I have is marked wrong.. That piece of music was one that was not done for Disney specifically but was done by an outside artist and on an actual album. which means, you can buy that piece of music that I posted.
It is called Papillon (On The Wings Of The Butterfly) by David Arkenstone.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kt7ySBDsLeA this is a link to the song on YouTube, though the day the name wrong. It is Papilon, not Papilion Day.
Even though it was done by an outside person, it still evokes Disney, and EPCOT particularly for me.

The one I found on youtube is titled as Paillon Day. Looks like he has other songs available. Going to have to check those out I thinkfigmentaholic wrote:Okay so... did a little more research.. Yeah it is marked wrong there. It is Papillon (On The Wings Of The Butterfly) there is no "day" in the title.

Yes I recognize that and see why you love it! Very nice! Thanks for all the info, too. It's very interesting finding out background info that goes along with Disney things. We heard some artist Ray Lynch stuff on some of the Epcot loops. We had heard his stuff before outside of Disney.figmentaholic wrote:mjmcsl4me wrote:Is this on a particular loop played here?figmentaholic wrote:Oh man.. I can just hear those opening tones from "The Road to Tomorrow" one of the background sounds from Epcot.. it makes me so happy.. just takes me back to good times. That can pull me out of even the worst day I am having, listening to that.
Yes, its played on the entrance loop.. but.. I dont have a good way of explaining which one it is.. It is just so.. inherently Epcot.
Okay so here it is.. I am hosting this so of course this is NOT for downloding, that would be illegal, it is just to LISTEN to it.. But this is my EPCOT... my happy.

Here is a link that I posted above to a You Tube video... It is labled wrong, It is Papilion, not Papilion Day, but you can listen to it any time you want there and be transported back to Disney..

It is called Papillon (On The Wings Of The Butterfly) by David Arkenstone.

Yeah, that is the part that is just so... DISNEY to me.. It is a bit ironic that it wasn't done for Disney originally.

Thanks again for the info. I told my husband about it and he found the CD In the Wake of the Wind at our library YAY!figmentaholic wrote:Amy wrote:Probably an original written for EPCOT then. According to the Innoventions Wikipedia site- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Innoventions_%28Epcot%29

The area music played at Epcot is about 20 minutes long and begins with a musical piece by David Arkenstone entitled "Papillon (On The Wings Of The Butterfly)" from his album In the Wake of the Wind. It doesn't mention "The World of Tomorrow" specifically, but it sounds like it would fall under the music that Russell Brower made for the park. I will continue to look around.

Oh wow.. at the library? In theory you should be able to burn it then, and have a permanent copy...

Trying to remember what the rule is.. You can use a song for like... 24 hours or something and then you have to destroy the file... I think that is the law. I will have to see if I can research and find out...
